I totally crashed during 'Star Wars' way back when. Well, geez, we went with another couple to the Mexican restaurant (my fav for decades) next door to the movie theater, had food and margaritas, then went to the movie.
That genre doesn't interest me anyway, but it did others in the group, so I have no problem that I slept through it.

Are you saying you didn't like Star Trek with William Shatner?
Ok put yourself in time out!😄
I used to own pretty much all the "vcr tapes"!
I recall Nathan Lanes lines in again The Birdcage when asked how he felt about those Dolphins (losing)-
"How do you think I feel"?!
"Betrayed. Bewildered".😂
@on the bay 😄Well I have to stand by the fact that Star Trek just ain't my thing. BUT...I hope this redeems me a little, that I do feel ya just gotta love William Shatner. His dry wit, and the fact that he still seems to be livin' life well, now in his 80's? is he 90 yet? Anyway, I do love him. Years ago, on some random channel, he had a talk show for a bit...it was great...great conversations with different people...he was smart and funny and asked great, thoughtful, curious questions.

@qualitygal I think I was about 45. DH and I went to a movie we both wanted to see. Mercifully my mind has blanked out the title! 15 minutes into it I said "This is awful". He said "I hate it but I didn't want to leave if you liked it!" We took our ticket stubs to the manager and asked for our money back.
He was really nice and said we were about the 5th couple that walked out of this movie!

Years ago, in the 1970's, I walked out of Looking for Mr Goodbar with Diane Keaton,I think. It was awful and boring.

During college one of the local TV stations was showing Psycho. Some of us gathered to watch on a big TV, with snacks.
Obviously I knew what was coming, and I wanted to stay with my friends, but I just couldn't. I had to leave.
I don't think I've ever walked out of a movie theater, although sometimes I've wanted to! .

I walked out of 2: The original Night of the Living Dead (I was traumatized and locked myself in the bathroom with the lights on all night). A Clockwork Orange after the "singing in the rain" segment.

A couple movies, years ago, not even sure of the names. These days, I'm more discerning with my selections, so I know what it's about.
Maybe I'm in the minority these days, but I just do not consider violence to be entertainment.
And, if you've seen one explosion, you've seen them all. Same with car chases. Booooring.

I remember walking out once decades ago but can't recall the movie.
I have fallen asleep a few times. I went with a friend to rewatch 2001 because she hadn't seen it yet and I fell asleep during the multicolored stargate sequence.
BTW, Star Trek is, or used to be, very different from Star Wars. Trek is about finding and honoring new worlds, while Wars is about, well, wars.

Around 1972 when I was first dating my husband he took me to see Gone with the Wind and it had been gone already. So we said OK we'll see what is here now. It was "Last Tango in Paris" with Marlon Brando. We walked out during a sex scene with him and the lead woman. Oh my goodness it just floored me. We asked for a refund and they wouldn't give it to us. I have never like Marlon Brando since.

Never walked out. Fell asleep during Chariots of Fire. Went with my dad who was a night owl. I think it was a 9 or 10 pm show. I was like 15. I fell asleep and dreamt I heard heavy rain. It was the end of the movie and everyone was standing up and their chairs flapping shut sounded like rain (to a sound asleep me anyway haha)
Went to see Porky's with some gf's in high school. They were all cracking up. I thought it was the stupidest movie ever made. I would have walked out
