I used to be hooked on "Days of Our Lives".

I started watching it in the early 80's, and kept watching it until the late 90's or early 2000's.

Then, I don't know if I changed, the writing change, or both, but I lost interest in it.

I tried to get back in to it a few times, but couldn't.

Anyone else stop watching soaps?

Used to watch the CBS soaps. Lost interest. Stupid story lines. 

I enjoy reading books.

Yes, I stopped when "As the World Turns" went off the air.  There are very few soap operas left. Young women today dont seem to enjoy them.

I gave up on the Bold and the Beautiful months ago.  The show made me cringe every time I watched it. I rarely watch Young and the Restless for the same reasons.

I used to watch Y&L and B&B. Stopped for no particular reason. I watch more of the "mystery/whodunnit" shows these days.

Yes- watched The Y & R for 30 years. Quit watching a few months ago. Hasn’t been good in a long time, in my opinion.

Agree on comment by Tribefan......I watched Y&R for several years while I ate lunch.......quit last year....really stupid storylines....waste of time!

I gave up Days, last year around this time, after decades and decades of viewing.  Now that I'm retired, I catch it about once a week.  Same ol', same ol'.
