Horwitz was born on June 19, 1897 in the Brooklyn, New York neighborhood of Bensonhurst to Solomon Horwitz and Jennie Gorovitz, the fourth-born of five brothers of Lithuanian Jewish ancestry. He was named Moe when still very young and later called himself Harry. His parents were not involved in show business, but Moe, older brother Shemp Howard, and younger brother Curly Howard all eventually became world-famous as members of The Three Stooges.

Just for the fun and memories.  And, they did there own stunts back then.  Crazy? Yes!  Imortale ... in mens hearts, yes.

Happy Birthday Moe - Happy birthday to my mom who was born in 1916 and would be 100 today!  Love the Stooges - lots of laughs!

@Preds Thanks for the post! I grew up with 3 brothers, so the Stooges were a staple in my house.

If you are a Stooges fan and ever travel up this way, you should visit the Stoogeum, a museum dedicated to all things Stooges. It it located in Spring House/Ambler PA. Google it; it is the only one out there. I've been there and the amount of memorabilia and film that the owner collected is unreal. (the owners wife is related to Larry Fine).
