The last article I read about her (which wasn't today) stated that she had dementia or Alzheimers. 😥

And she was loved for over 50 years by one of the greats, very unusal in Hollywood.

It is hard to believe she is that old.  Last weekend I pulled out my copy of Long Hot Summer and watched her and her dear departed hubby.  Never get tired of watching either one of them.  Happy Birthday Joanne.

I met her once, many years ago.  A beautiful and gracious lady in person.  I saw her in a play and met her afterwards for just a few minutes.
