@chrystaltree - So did I. My sister-in-law and I had tickets to see her once.

We wondered if she'd show up. At the time, she had a serious drinking problem and we were dubious about buying tickets. Sure enough, within hours of the show, we all got an alert that she wouldn't be appearing. The blurb went that she had been "on her way" but then "felt unwell". The way it was worded, implied that even the venue manager didn't believe that.

The venue did a survey after to ask customers, if they should try to rebook. They got an overwhelming NO. We'd booked months in advance and we all lost our booking fees (not cheap).

She was talented for sure, but we'd never bother again. Maybe she got better but, at the time, she was notoriously unreliable.

If she's only 77, I'm surprised. However, happy birthday to her!

She really took after her Father in looks....wonder if she is totally no longer "using" drugs or alcohol? She sure had her issues with that in the past. Never hear much about or from her anymore. Nice to hear she made it to age 77....unlike her Mother's early demise from addiction.

I was at a company event & she was featured. She was nasty & “under the influence” & looked a hot mess. She sounded terrible when she sang New York New York which is where the event took place.

She had talent when she was young & so sad to see the destructive behavior repeat itself.
