Re: Hallmark Mystery Channel

I just don't see the chemistry.  Maybe that will develop in #2

Re: Hallmark Mystery Channel

What happened to the Murder She Baked mysteries? I liked them.

Brooke Shields sure looks good on the Lazy Boy commercials.

Darrow & Darrow was okay, I had higher hopes for it.  I thought the pairing of Tom Cavanaugh and Kimberly Williams Paisley was an odd choice.  He's 53 and she's 46.  I thought he worked better with Wendy Mallick.

I enjoyed it, but I thought it would be better than it was.

i see the potential.i'm waiting to see where they take it in #2 because you can ony do so much in a couple of hours.  as to Cavanaugh/Williams-Paisley, what is odd about a 53 year old with a 46 year old?  lastly the nice thing about these Hallmark mysteries is they feature a strong female protagonist and are not gory, even if stories are formulaic.

@ms traditional    I was wondering the same thing since that's only a seven-year age difference. I purposely didn't watch D&D but I saw a promo several times with Williams-Paisley saying something in a courtroom setting that sounded about as convincing as a child.

Btw  @VaBelle35    Ms Malick is 66. Again, I haven't seen the episode so maybe your objection to the pairing was something other than age.

As stated above I didn't watch Darrow & Darrow when it premiered toward the end of last year because I knew they were getting ready to start Christmas programming. HM&M has shown it a couple of times recently so I recorded it. Wednesday I decided to watch. I saw 20 minutes and then deleted it. Thought it was even worse than the usual mediocre offerings.

@Tique   that's weird.  i was just going to watch it again on the DVR. i saw it - in fragments- yes.  i didn't really get the flow of it watching it in parts so wanted to watch all at once.  i was taken by Wendy Malick's mother character and still think the daughter is interesting.  somehow i didn't get drawn in to the Kimberly W-P character or the budding "romance."  but maybe i'll feel differently after viewing #2.  if so will post.

how about you?

@ms traditional   I haven't watched it. Wanted to read some reviews. I still haven't seen the first one in its entirety. No rush.

Re: Hallmark Mystery Channel

I couldn't get into it.  I was luke warm on the first one.  I started to watch the first one again and found them all annoying this time around.
