Hallmark Movie With a Shopping Channel Storyline

"Ms. Christmas Comes To Town" made me wonder if the writers watched QVC back in the days of the 50 in 50 tour. The main characters hop on a well appointed motor home and seek out uplifting Christmas stories and products. Cute movie, but not one I'd watch over and over.

Re: Hallmark Movie With a Shopping Channel Storyline

I have it taped and ready to watch. I had taped two last week....and they just weren't good at all. I got through 15 minutes and lost interest. I'm thinking this one is going to be really good!

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it.  The shopping channel vibe was cute.

I have it taped too and always enjoy Barbara Niven, Chesapeake Shores etc.  She was also on One Life to Live a very long time ago.

I had taped the astronaut and some other new Hallmark movie, they sat on my DVR and I deleted as they didn't sound great.  This one I'll watch.

I think we deleted the same movies. I didn't like the astronaut movie either, though I love Ryan Paevey. I didn't like the actress. The other was the one where the woman was tired of hearing about Christmas, and everything was in black and white...until it turned to color. It wasn't that good. I do agree, Barbara Niven is an excellent actress and fantastic in every movie she's in.

I managed to sit through both of these movies but I thought each of them were terrible.  I also love Ryan Paevey but what was he thinking by agreeing to take this role.  He's far too good of an actor for this movie.  Didn't care for the actress either.

The other one with the black and white Christmas s/l was beyond boring.  I thought it was never going to end.

Exactly! I thought Ryan should be paired up with a more established actress. He deserved a much better part and actress (like A Timeless Christmas with Erin Cahill. I like Michael Rady too, but the black & white movie was beyond boring. There are a couple of really good ones coming up though...so there's hope.

Re: Hallmark Movie With a Shopping Channel Storyline

@AuntG I had recorded Ms Christmas and watched last night. It was enjoyable, and I liked the shopping channel as the setting. I thought it was interesting to see how the crew watches the sales behind the camera. I knew they were aware of sales throughout a presentation, but I was glad to see it in the movie.
