Re: Hallmark Movie... Never Been Chris'd

Missed it so I asked neighbor if I should try to catch it tonight. She said it was the worst of all the Hallmark movies so far this year. I agree that there have been no stand out movies so far. I'm hoping they get better as it gets closer to Christmas.

@Janey2 , totally agree about Ryan Paevey.  Very good looking guy but can't act his way out of a paper bag.  I don't know that I have seen any chemistry between him and any characters in any of the movies.  I am sure there have been a few times but none come to mind.  I think he does this acting to pay the bills and his real love is jewelry making.

I haven't watched last night's movie yet.

Oh man, that's saying something since most of them have been pretty bad.

Re: Hallmark Movie... Never Been Chris'd

i watched it and enjoyed it.....

it was definitely DIFFERENT than most of the hallmark holiday movies and i think that is why i was drawn to it. the romance took back seat to the love of friends and the love between mothers and daughters.

love tyler hynes, but he almost took a back seat in this story, which may be why some didnt care for it?

glad hallmark broke out of the box.

I thought this movie was a total miss! I love Tyler as he's one of my most favorite actors on Hallmark. But I thought the movie was childish and not worth watching. There were only a couple of Hallmark holiday movies that I liked this year. The chemistry just wasn't there. The acting seemed forced.

@Effie54  And the writing / plots thrown together in volume, quantity not quality.

Definitely! I remember a few years ago when they had fabulous, interesting holiday movies. I couldn't wait to watch them. I think Hallmark felt they had to compete with GAC in getting as many holiday movies cranked out as they could. It resulted in sophomoric, boring, silly movies, which had no chemistry and no interest in content. I deleted the last 4 I viewed.

Like many of the previous comments, I also tried watching it but had to turn it off after about 30 minutes or so.  I "jumped" back to it a few times to see if it looked any better - but it did not.

I do think he's handsome... but I'm not sure if he is even a trained actor. I remember reading he was a model that went into acting. The best movie I've ever seen him in was A Timeless Christmas, co-starring Erin Cahill. They had chemistry.

If Lacey Chabert isn't in it, I rarely watch Hallmark movies.  I'm not drawn to their typical storylines.  I'll watch Christmas Vacation 12x over Hallmark movies.
