Just a heads up for those thinking of subscribing to the new HBO Max streaming service. At this moment they're somewhat limited in the streaming devices they have apps for. Roku and Fire TV apps do not exist as of yet. I'm not sure what the geniuses at HBO were thinking when they created a new streaming service but didn't make it available on the two most popular streaming device families, despite their other streaming services being available on those devices, but, if you're interested in using HBO Max on either family of such devices, be advised there is no app currently available.

On Fire TV's you can stream it if you use their web browser to go to the HBO Max website, but that's kind of clunky and inefficient. For Roku users, you're just out of luck. You can still use the HBO Now app on Roku, but the programming that's exclusive to HBO Max is unavailable to you through that app.

This is kind of a big misstep on HBO's part and I'm not sure what the heck they were thinking. Maybe they weren't thinking? Anyway, if you're thinking of getting HBO Max, which is a pretty neat service, check to be sure you can actually use it on your devices. They oddly chose to make it available on some more obscure devices, but not the two best-selling device families.
