This is a movie that came out on HBO in 2009 starring Kevin Bacon he plays a volunteer military escort officer who accompanies the body of a Marine killed in action to his home town, this movie brought back memories of what I watched on CNN this morning of the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base of the American service members killed in Afghanistan this week, all the military personnel escorting the bodies are volunteers.

Yes!    It was a beautiful piece and I've had it on wish list on one of my Tivos so that if they air it again it will record.  

Good to know it's on Amazon now.  Maybe I'll check it out again.  I would definitely love to see it again.

@SoCal Bred @This was a movie that made me cry. I have great respect for our military men and women. Have shed many tears over the years for their loss and their families pain. The latest just over the last few days.

I loved this movie. There is a long history of military service in my family, so I usually watch anything military related. Nice to know I can watch it again on Amazon.

I have seen this movie a couple of times. I cried both times - have tissues handy. 

A movie everyone should watch. Kevin Bacon did a great job.

One of the most touching and emotional movies I have seen...so beautifully done...I have watched it several times.

I watched it years ago. Heartbreaking. My dad was a P.O.W. in EAst Germany during WW2. He was emotional all his life talking about what he went through.
