WOW.... never got tickets for the live play.  TV cannot replace a live show. This was still an experience. It was brilliant, glowing, chilling and even some tears... All the accolades were so deserved.  The perfect way to spend the 4th of July eve.

I will try it again.

I know it has many awards and so many loved it but am I the only one who couldn't understand what they were saying? I do like lots of rap but I have to understand it. I feel like a dodo. I did like the dancing, but not the stage directions (if that makes sense).

Any play, musical, etc I really have to focus on what is being said.   After the first 20 minutes of introducing set up I think you will find it much easier to hear what is being said.   The story really unfolds.  It really is worth it.

@on the bay   I saw Hamilton twice on Broadway.  Before the first time -- my husband and I listened to the music and read the lyrics as we were listening.  Several times.  We really got to know it.  That helped tremendousily.  I can understand why you had a problem.

It would be great to read the lyrics.

You are not alone. I couldn't understand them either so I turned it off after 15 minutes. I didn't see what was so great about it. Maybe I'm just not a Broadway musical type of person. I might try again.

We had seen it in Los Angeles. This play with the original cast was so good. We had pretty good seats but seeing the close up was incredible.

I watched the whole thing and hated it!
