I have them ready to tape on my DVR although I probably will watch the shows tonight.  I love Midwives and certainly look forward to another series of excellence.  I also enjoy Grantchester but was not too thrilled with last season. However, I will continue to watch as the acting, settings are well worth it.  I just hope the story lines improves.  I love Masterpiece theater and have been a fan since the seventies, so many great series.

I could not agree more.

I wasn't thrilled with tonight's offering.

I love the character of Leonard and Al Weaver who portrays him.

I prefer the previous vicar, too, although I still think of him as the terrible "bad guy" in Happy Valley.

@lulu1  Thanks for the info.

I watched "Call for the Midwife last night."

I'm always surprised that I like this show...it's so mellow.  But I do really enjoy it.

I'd like to post something that surprises me, but ....it might be considered political or something.

I do enjoy seeing that everyone gets along so well.

Some things I don't understand.  Perhaps someone can explain it.

Why did the nurse have to go to a hospital, wear a different uniform to help the nun's financial situation?

In the 60's my mother worked at a Catholic university in Arlington, Virginia.  My mother always talked about seeing the nun's going from habits to regular clothes.

My family is very Catholic.  Everyone had his and her's opinion on this.  My brother went to a Catholic school.  I never did.

It seems like lately I've been thinking and talking about the 60's.  My grandchildren are very fixated on this era.

This show gives insight as to what the 60's was like 'across the pond' as some say.
