Jennifer Jones, David Farrar, and Cyril Crusack; screenplay as well directed by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, based on the novel by Mary Webb. 

 

A beautiful superstitious, animal-loving gypsy is desired by a fox-hunting squire, even after she marries a clergyman. Pleased sharing this masterpiece.

 

Edited and re-titled "The Wild Heart" by producer David O. Selznick in 1952,

Powell and Pressburger's beautiful film (GONE TO EARTH)

only rarely shown in the U.S. as it was intended to be seen.
