Does Natalie Portman ever smile?

Do they all get their pointy, stiletto shoes from the same place?

And I didn't recognize Gillian Anderson from the X-Files.  I read that her dress was quite unique!

@kaydee50  Those pointy-toed stilettos are a Christian Louboutin trademark.  I think it is unattractive when the 'toe cracks' can be seen peeking out of the top of the shoe.  I wonder if the wearer needs to buy a larger-sized shoe for comfort?

The host never had the audience. I hadn’t heard of him, but that’s not saying much! LOL There’s enough people who only have good things to say about him. It was weird when he broke into his monologue and said “hey, these aren’t all my jokes. Only had 10 days to prepare” Etc. some was very cringy.

The best part of the show IMO was Jon Batiste and Andra Day for best song, starting with her comment strip….mall. The rest seemed really ad libbed, and had everyone in the audience laughing. Even their Original Score shtick was amusing (although maybe went on a bit too long). They just seemed very natural compared with most of the others handing out awards.

I thought that Jo was excellent!  I laughed a lot!

It's true that he was contracted for the job only 10 days earlier (most big talk show host types turned the gig down) and was assisted with some of the writing.

It wasn't his type of crowd but I give him credit for going for it.  His stand up shows are hysterical and always sell out.

He was interviewed today on GMA3 and said it was a tough room but he had a great time.

The Taylor Swift joke was very funny, although she thought otherwise.

My favorite part of the night is when Ray Romano told Keri Russell that he liked her show "Laundromat".  Keri Russell then corrected him and said it was the "Diplomat".

@Shelbelle  I have totally lost interest in these kinds of shows.  I always enjoyed the "red carpet" arrivals premiered by Joan/Melissa Rivers though.

A total disgrace especially to the stylist who dressed her, it was a very pretty dress, just not for her. She was one inch away from having the top fall totally off of her. Just horrible, and she was the first winner too. What a way to start the show
