ITA about his acting.  He's killing it.   (groan)

Anyway, as to being type-cast, I think he will be ok.  He has a look that can go many ways easily and, as a good actor, he will pull it off well, IMO.  Smiley Happy

It is interesting to watch because I remember watching the news coverage of this and the killer did not seem good looking or personable just disturbing and weird.

He's a wonderful actor.

I had no idea how disturbed Andrew was.  I didn't know at all that he knew 3 of his victims so well.

This show is very scary - i watched two in a row and could hardly sleep that night (one of the killing of Lee Miglin).  AC was a horrible evil person.  Pity the torturing of his victims.  Horrible deaths. Gianni's death was the easiest to deal with.

I guess I’m in a different camp, because I feel Criss is doing a poor, amateur job in acting this role.  I think part of Cunanan’s success in ingratiating himself with others was his seductive charm.  Criss his playing him as cold and glossy eyed even when he is supposed to be charming.  He’s still coming across as creepy and having an ulterior motive to the extent that any observant person would instinctually know that he is someone to stay away from.  It would have been much more interesting if he played the non-murderous scenes as if the charm, stories and excuses he made were rooted in a natural acting warmth and humanity.  Then, when he would go into murderer mode, it would be more effective and disturbing, because it would seem more like a light switch being flipped.

@Nancy Drewwrote:

He is playing what I always thought Andrew would be like after I read Vulgar Favors. He is cold, glib, charming, likable, grandiose and mentality ill. He has a big career ahead of him after this I think.

ITA

He's incredible in the role!  STELLAR!

@SilleeMee  I haven't seen this yet but watched a similar show on the Oxygen network called Killing Versace. Versace's real life boyfriend was shown then and now. He was a very good looking guy at the time they were together. I had never seen him before. He also talked throughout the show and answered questions. The woman that wrote the book the mini series was based on, Maureen Orth, was interviewed as well. This special pretty much goes over almost everything we've seen on the show but in greater detail.
