Re: General HospitalšŸ„ October 2024-Spoilers Included

If the Cyrus spoiler is true, the only thing I can think of is that he wants Dante available for Lulu if she wakes up. Since he is a man of the cloth now, it is hard to see him do such a thing, unless he will do anything for family.

Re: General HospitalšŸ„ October 2024-Spoilers Included

Okay, I have not seen last week, but I am loving Brad today and his smarmy blackmail. It's good to have him back. I miss Britt. Smiley Sad

Can someone tell the writers it's 2024, almost 2025, and anyone who is still working for a living knows everything you log into keeps a record, especially those of us in highly regulated industries, cough cough, like medical facilities...

What is the point of having Rick back if he's the same one note character?

Did you all like Anna trying to push off her deceitful behavior on Dante? Mirror, mirror...

I think Alexis should celebrate with a @mysoutherncomfort special! Smiley Wink

Re: General HospitalšŸ„ October 2024-Spoilers Included

Now that the charges against Alexis have been dropped I am dying to know who found the gun and turned it in to the PCPD.  Hopefully we get to find out but probably not - the writers will just drop the s/l.  I guess Sonny gets away with murder once again.

I also cannot wait to see who is Lulu's match.  I know rumors say it is Sam and I suspect if it is she dies in the process.  Like others I am weary of Cyrus' involvement.

Big AMEN to all of the above. Brad handled himself very well indeed.  No blackmail outright; just inquiring of one of his bosses.  Due diligence or discresion...love it.

What the hey was up with Ric and Elizabeth.  He was the one who basically dragged Liz to the PCPD to be a "good citizen" and report what they saw.  I repeat...great eyesight in the dark that not only did they recognize Alexis throwing a gun off the bridge, but what the gun looked like........really?  Eagles are visually impaired compared to these two.  LOL

Anna:  Just how long ago was it that you gave Valentin and Charlotte a 2 hours head start to disappear?  And now you are inquiring about Dante's loyalties?  Give me another....really?

Of course, I want to know who turned in the gun to the PCPD?  I still think that maybe Brick might be involved.....and who is the liver donor that will save Lulu's life?

November sweeps are coming forthwith.

Re: General HospitalšŸ„ October 2024-Spoilers Included

True, true, true in that Sonny never pays for his crimes.  But at taking a look at the prosecutions case (the Feds), as Martin said, they really didn't have anything to go on (beyond a resonable doubt) except for the river soaked gun which is now kaput.

As far as the Fed attorney saying that they will find the murder weapon; well, we all know that ain't gonna happen.

Everyone and I mean everyone knows that Sonny did it.  OK, now go and prove it.  Just sayin...............

Re: General HospitalšŸ„ October 2024-Spoilers Included

GH RECAP MONDAY, OCTOBER 14th

Dante stops Sonny as heā€™s about to confess at the police station. Anna tells Dante it can wait, but Dante disagrees. Martin rushes in, demanding to know why Anna hasnā€™t shared the new evidence in Alexisā€™ case. Anna tries to deflect but eventually admits they received a gun that matches the one Alexis threw into the river. However, more testing needs to be done. Martin asks about the ballistics report. She confirms ballistics donā€™t match the gun that was used to kill Cates.

At the courthouse, Dex helps Molly pick up the papers she dropped. He brings up the new evidence in Alexisā€™ case, but she doesnā€™t know what heā€™s talking about. He doesnā€™t want to jeopardize his job by telling her. She understands but canā€™t imagine what it could be.

Terry comes to the lab wondering if Brad found anything new in Heatherā€™s test results. He wants to double check his work first before handing it over. Terry thinks thatā€™s a good idea since all eyes are on him, especially Portiaā€™s, considering she doesnā€™t want him there. Brad has no doubt heā€™ll get her to come around. After Terry leaves, Brady smirks as he prints Heatherā€™s lab report.

In Curtisā€™ office, Portia confesses to her husband that she changed Heatherā€™s cobalt test results. Now, the court has demanded the hospital turn over all of Heatherā€™s tests. If they find out Heatherā€™s tests were tampered with on the day that she was in the lab, a place she rarely goes, itā€™s over for her. Curtis suggests thereā€™s no reason to suspect her or tampering in general. The error could be due to a lab mistake or a faulty test. As long as theyā€™re the only ones who know, she should just go about business as usual. Portia tells him Ava knows. His head about explodes, but she knows Ava would never hurt Trina by turning her in. He assures her he has her back and that thereā€™s no reason to worry. However, when she leaves for work, Curtisā€™ positivity turns to anxiety.

Elizabeth panics as she and Ric are summoned to the PCPD. Chase meets them and presents the gun they received. Liz says it looks like the one Alexis was holding, but Ric canā€™t be sure. Scowling, Elizabeth prods him into admitting it looks like the gun Alexis had. Ric then gets a call from Curtis to discuss an urgent family matter.

Diane arrives at the PCPD as Anna reiterates that more investigating needs to be done on the gun. Sonny passes on giving the statement he was prepared to make, and Martin leaves to file a motion with the judge in Alexisā€™ case.

As Dex asks Molly at the courthouse if sheā€™s feeling better than when he saw her at the bar, she gets a message. Looking hopeful, she says itā€™s about the new evidence Dex was talking about. Meanwhile, a guard interrupts Alexisā€™ visit at the jail with Kristina to bring her to court. Kristina assumes Sonny confessed.

Later, Kristina, Michael, and Sam meet in the courthouse corridor, wondering whatā€™s going on. They enter the courtroom, where Molly and Kristina share an icy glare. Back in the corridor, Sonny tells Diane the gun didnā€™t come from him, and he has no idea who sent it. A bailiff brings Alexis into court.

Terry finds Elizabeth in the hospital locker room. Elizabeth rants about Ric, but Terry wonders if her mood is really about Lucky. Elizabeth is worried for Aiden that Lucky will leave again now that he canā€™t be Luluā€™s hero.

Brad smugly approaches Portia at the hospital hub. She brings him to her office where he tells her Heatherā€™s cobalt levels were radically altered. Trying to hide her anxiety, she calmly says itā€™s for Heatherā€™s legal team to worry about, not him. He adds that he discovered she accessed the labā€™s computer on the same day. ā€œShould I worry about that, Dr. Robinson?ā€ She says testing errors happen all the time and wonders why heā€™s bringing this to her. In a veiled tone, Brad says he just wanted her to see how hard heā€™s working and that he was able to catch such a jarring discrepancy. So, if sheā€™s ever asked about his work, he hopes sheā€™ll have good things to say since heā€™s back on a trial basis.

Brad wonders what would get him a more favorable review from Portia: doing his due diligence by bringing his report to the higher-ups or his discretion? A stilted Portia tells him how impressed sheā€™s been with his work and suggests he give the police and legal teams everything they ask for. But he shouldnā€™t complicate matters by offering his opinion on the results. In return, sheā€™ll recommend Terry put him on full-time after his trial period, if not sooner. He gives her the test results copy, reminds her he has the digital record, and saunters out. She slams the door behind him and furiously rips up the report.

In his office, Curtis confronts Ric, father to father, about his defending Heather. Ric understands his concerns, but he doesnā€™t feel Curtisā€™ family has reason to fear her. Curtis disagrees and demands to know what happens next. Ric tells him he has concrete evidence that Heatherā€™s state of mind was due to metallosis. Heather will get her day in court, which could lead to immediate release.

Alone in the interrogation room, Alexis assumes Dante was going to tell Sonny about the gun before his father could confess. Respecting her too much to lie, he admits the thought crossed his mind. She wonders whatā€™s so different this time that he was going to cross the line for Sonny. Dante laments the thought of having to tell Rocco his grandfather is going to prison on top of everything with Lulu. Anna says whatever happens, Rocco will have Dante to see him through it and thatā€™s what matters. She knows how much Dante still cares for Lulu. Dante would trade his life for hers.

In court, Martin presents a report on the recovered gun and moves to dismiss the charges against Alexis. The prosecutor argues against it. After taking time out of court to consider, the judge drops the charges against Alexis due to insufficient evidence. As everyone celebrates, Molly and Kristina again share icy glares. Alexis tells Sonny she knows what he was going to do for her. Sonny will always do what he can for the people he loves.

Michael follows Molly to the corridor, wondering where sheā€™s going. Molly canā€™t be around Kristina, whom she still blames for setting this all in motion.

Brad brings Elizabeth Heatherā€™s test results at the hub. After he leaves, Elizabeth gets an alert on her computer that they found a match for Lulu.

Re: General HospitalšŸ„ October 2024-Spoilers Included

INTERVIEW

EXCLUSIVE: GENERAL HOSPITAL'S PARRY SHEN ON BRAD AND LUCAS AND PORTIA ā€” OH MY!

Parry Shen returned to the GH canvas as Brad Cooper back in August after an absence of over a year. Since then, he has become embroiled in two dramatic tales: Bradā€™s desire to reconcile with his newly-back-in-town ex-husband, Lucas Jones, and his discovery that co-Chief of Staff Portia Robinson tampered with Heather Webberā€™s test results. Soap Opera Digest got the inside scoop from Shen about Bradā€™s busy plate.

Soap Opera Digest: GH has just brought back Bradā€™s ex, Lucas. Tell us about your first day working with Van.

Parry Shen: Off the bat, we both noticed we followed a lot of comic-book artists on Instagram, so we broke the ice and bonded over that. I liked how he dove right into asking me about Brad and Lucasā€™s relationship ā€” heā€™d done his own homework but wanted to get up to speed and on the same page as quickly as possible. So I was already impressed with his work ethic, but not surprised. Iā€™d done my homework on him once I found out he was cast and had watched clips of his work as Luke on As The World Turns and on EastSiders. Iā€™m an incredibly thorough cyber stalker.

Digest: What did you tell Van by way of contextualizing the Brad/Lucas relationship for him?

Shen: I basically ran down the timeline of events chronologically for Van, gave him what I thought how the couple felt for one another, how they felt about other people, his relationship to other characters on the canvas ā€” their overall vibes, etc. Itā€™s a daunting amount of history to process since Lucas is connected to so many people. And I know Van used all those pieces of info (from other cast members as well) to formulate how he wanted to approach the character accordingly.

Digest: Your first scene with Van was the first Brad/Lucas encounter in a good long while. What did you want to communicate in your performance about what it felt like for Brad to lay eyes on Lucas again?

Shen: I was hoping to get across how much Brad regretted his actions with Wiley, that he still obviously cared for Lucas but also acknowledging that a lot of time has passed. According to my spreadsheet notes of every single episode Iā€™ve filmed ā€” over four years. That Brad, although still having feelings for Lucas, was trying to move ahead with his own life as well.

Digest: Brad just recently told Cody that he wants Lucas back. Does he think he stands a chance of regaining Lucasā€™s trust?

Shen: I think gaining Lucasā€™s trust back is his first priority and hope. And maybe a far away, hopeful reach would be getting him back.

Digest: Knowing Brad as you do, how do you think Brad intends to go about winning Lucas back?

Shen: Deeds not words. I feel Brad knows his actions need to show heā€™s a changed person or at least trying to change.

Digest: If you were Bradā€™s friend, what advice would you give him about his heart being set on a future with Lucas?

Shen: As a friend trying to protect Brad? Iā€™d probably tell him that ship has likely passed. To move on and not pine over him ā€” even though I know Brad likely wouldnā€™t listen. But true friends gotta give tough love sometimes!

Digest: Are you rooting for a Brad/Lucas reunion?

Shen: Of course! They have so much history together.

Digest: On the work front, Brad has settled back into his old digs at the G.H. lab. Now, heā€™s stumbled upon evidence that Portia broke the rules ā€” and the law ā€” by tampering with Heather's test results. In your view, what did Brad have to gain by not exposing her, which might have helped paint him as a reformed and dutiful hospital employee?

Shen: Even though Brad is trying to change, sometimes old habits just slide on very easily like a good, worn pair of sweatpants. He thinks he knows the best way to navigate this ā€” via quid pro quo ā€” and overcome the obstacle ā€” Dr. Robinson ā€” to him being a permanent fixture working at the hospital. After all, itā€™s how he and Britt used to do it!! Also, I feel there may be an understanding on his part. Brad of all people knows what itā€™s like to do questionable things to protect the ones he loves. So I donā€™t think he wants to see Portia get in trouble, buuutā€¦. if he can somehow also benefit from this information, he sees that as a win-win.

Digest: Is there a part of Brad that worries his decision to go the blackmail route might blow up in his face?

Shen: Heā€™s not thinking that far ahead ā€” a nagging trait that has always been his Achillesā€™ heel and largely the source that has gotten him into trouble time and time again.

Digest: You posted online about quite the fun fact involving Brook Kerr (Portia), which is that when she was on Passions as Whitney, her love interest was Donn Swaby (ex-Chad), who you went to high school with! Did you share this with Brook? Have you and Donn had any communication since you started on GH?

Shen: I did share it with Brook. She loved hearing about it. Donn and I have kept in the know of each other, through Facebook. And I love roundabout connections like that! My high school was not a performing arts school or anything ā€” Donn and I were kids out of a random high school in Queens, NY who became actors. And Passions and Brook Kerr have always been on my radar following Donnā€™s career and then when my twin nephews played Baby Ethan Crane on the show. Incidentally, those same nephews also played Baby Hope Logan on Bold and Beautiful at the same time, and I actually mentioned it to Annika Noelle [Hope] when we did Nancy Lee Grahnā€™s [Alexis] ALS charity event earlier this year together. I felt she looked a little puzzled at first, but then I clarified by adding, ā€œOh, and theyā€™re Caucasian [laughs]!ā€

I was shocked that Portia went right to Curtis and confessed today at this early juncture of her debacle. It's the best thing she could have done knowing Curtis. If he had found out any other way, he would have kicked her to the curb.

[ Edited ]

Here's a question.  If Sam is killed off what happens to Danny and Scout.  Both of their fathers are Quartermaines.  (Drew and Jason).  So do they go to live at the Q' mansion which is turning into a regular Day Care, or do they stay with Dante?  I have a hard time picturing Dante raising 3 kids by himself!  I doubt if  Granny Alexis would take them.
