GH RECAP FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4th
At home, Chase tells Brook Lynn itās oddly quiet. The kids are at school, and Tracy is out for a ride. The peace is broken when Brook Lynn gets a text that Violetās being sent home by school for getting into a fight.
They bring Violet home, and she explains she hit this boy, Garth, because heās a mean bully and he lies. She says he called her dad a drunk. Violet explains she was telling her friends that her dad was in a special hospital, but Garth told everyone that he was in rehab and a drunk. She hit him, and then Garth poured grape juice on her and ruined her shirt.
Chase thanks her for telling them the truth. Violet is sorry she hit Garth and about her shirt. Brook Lynn says they can wash her shirt, and she is sure she can get the stain out. They go upstairs so Violet can change.
After she gets Violet settled, Brook Lynn tells Chase they should visit Garthās parents to speak to them. Chase says Finn wouldnāt want them to, and there will always be Garthās in the world, and they have to teach Violet how to deal with them. Brook Lynn agrees they need to focus on Violet, and this might be her crying out for help.
Violet comes downstairs and tells Chase she is sorry she hit Garth. As heās talking to her, Brook Lynn gets a call. The principal wants to speak to Violetās guardian right away. Meanwhile, Violet wonders to Chase if sheās going to get in trouble. Chase explains that when you break the rules, you must face the consequences.
At the gallery, Ric tries to figure who at General Hospital might risk everything to keep Heather behind bars and tamper with the tests. Ava suggests he not accuse anyone of tampering with the results as General Hospital will lawyer up against him, and it will just stall Heatherās case. He wonders who she is protecting at General Hospital. Ava insists sheās not protecting anyone.
Ric wonāt pressure her into naming names but now she knows that she doesnāt want him to know who the guilty party is, so this person must mean a lot to her. He says heāll have to figure out another way to help Heather and takes off, leaving Ava worried.
Lucky shows up at Sonnyās office to see him. They embrace, and Sonny knows his dad would be proud of him for what heās doing for Lulu. Lucky isnāt so sure, as they both know he should have been here all along.
Sonny says Luke wouldnāt judge him because he loved him, and heās here now, and thatās all that matters. Lucky has a lot of work to do, not just with Lulu. Sonny asks if heās seen Aiden yet. Lucky hasnāt and admits heās afraid to. Sonny tells Lucky no matter how tough it is, he has to show up for his son. Lucky says heāll see him now, but Sonny notes heās in school. Lucky should have known that and decides to swing by General Hospital to check on Lulu and Isaiah instead. He thanks Sonny for the talk, and says it feels good to be back.
Gio is practicing his violin outside of Bonnieās when Trina shows up and asks if he knows any Billie Eilish. She wonders why heās out here. He says itās a change of pace, and when he plays outside, he feels like heās part of a big orchestra thatās always playing but people forget to listen to. Trina is sorry his performance and the show at the gallery got canceled, but sheād love to rebook him. Gio has to pass. He knows she cares for Ava, but he wonāt work for her after what she did to Kristina. Trina says in a cold tone that sheāll ask someone else, and she wonāt ask him to play there ever again. She heads inside.
Trina sits at the bar and makes some calls, asking about an advertisement she saw online and wants to know if they are still available.
Outside, Joss runs into Gio and asks if he wants to come inside and hang out with her and Trina. He thinks itās a bad idea, as they donāt agree on Ava. Joss orders Gio to come with her, so he follows her inside.
They approach Trina, and Joss tells Trina and Gio that losing a friend over Sonny and Avaās drama is not worth it. She tells them to let Sonny and Ava screw up their own lives but donāt let it change them.
They sit down, and Trina says if Gio doesnāt want to play at the gallery, then donāt, but she also doesnāt want him to assume Ava pushed Kristina. Gio says heāll let the judge decide who is guilty, and heāll play the gig at the gallery for her. She responds, āWho says I havenāt already found your replacement.ā Heās shocked, and Trina admits the one she found is a bit sketchy, so sheād be happy to have him back.
At home, Joss and Carly talk about Lulu when Lucas arrives. Carly hugs her brother and welcomes him home, and Joss also gives him a hug. Joss has to meet with Trina but plans to catch up with him soon.
Carly and Lucas sit down, and she asks if it was hard leaving Boston. He says it wasnāt, as he was always working and missed his family. Carly is glad heās home and knows itās hard for him to be in Port Charles. Heās sorry he didnāt stick around after momās funeral. Carly just wants him to be okay and asks if heās up for this. He says jumped at the chance to work at General Hospital again when he saw the opening for a trauma surgeon, and this job is the universeās way of telling him it is time to come home.
Lucas already emailed Michael and Willow, and while it will be challenging to see Willie, heās happy being his uncle. Carly asks if heās seen Brad. Lucas hasnāt and doesnāt plan to. However, he wants to know what is happening with her and Sonny. She asks how he knows, and Lucas admits Joss told him. She also told him about Ava and Kristina. Carly says thatās another mess and jokes, āAre you glad to be back yet?ā Lucas wonāt push her on Sonny, but sheās not off the hook yet. He needs to go to the hospital and fill out some paperwork, and it will give her time to work on her story.
Ava shows up at General Hospital and talks to Portia in her office. Ava gives Portia a heads-up about the four tests Ric ran on Heather, and the one their lab ran was the only one that indicated Heatherās cobalt levels never changed. She says Ric believes someone here at General Hospital tampered with the results, someone who wants to keep Heather in prison. Portia asks, āSomeone like me?ā Ava admits if her child were in danger, sheād do anything for them, even kill. Ava says Trina doesnāt need to know what Portia did to protect her, as Trina is finally looking forward to the future now. She doesnāt need to see her motherās career crash and burn because she wanted to protect her. Portia claims she has no idea what sheās talking about.
Ava says it took her three minutes to figure out Portia switched the results, so she needs her help. Portia asks what is in it for Ava. Ava just wants to protect Trina. Portia breaks down and cries that she was just trying to protect Trina, too, and now that Brad is back in the lab, he may already be onto her. Ava tells her to lie low and leave dealing with Ric to her. Portia fears Ric is going to get Heather out of prison. Just then, Ava gets a call from Ric. Heās filed to have Heatherās case overturned on the test results, and he lets her know that her mystery friend can remain a mystery. Ava gets off the phone and gives Portia a lookā¦
Lucky turns up and finds Isaiah walking around his room with crutches. Isaiah is glad to see Lucky, and Lucky says he owes him one. Lucky asks what he thinks about Port Charles. Isaiah says heās learned about the town, and ran into a few people here. He already met Elizabeth and asks if Luckyās seen his son yet. Lucky hasnāt, and Isaiah thinks his son needs to know what heās been doing and how heās been helping people.
Lucky explains heās focused on his sister and whether he is a match. He admits heās worried about both of their surgeries. Isaiah says if Lulu accepts his liver, it could reset her to a baseline, and she could even wake up. Isaiah says Lucky will need about a week to recover. Lucky asks if heād consider⦠Isaiah says he will be here to offer advice, but heās never going to perform surgery again.
Lucas meets with Terry about returning to work. Terry is glad to have him back, but there is something he needs to know.
Lucas heads to the lab to find Brad at work. Brad is shocked to see his ex. Lucas lets Brad know heāll be working here, and if they talk, it will be about work only. He makes it clear he wants nothing from him, ever.
Brad knows Lucas must hate him. Lucas doesnāt, and he understands why he did what he did. He says Brad got pulled into a nightmare and drew him in, too, and he never wants to go through that again. He tells Brad goodbye and walks out.
Carly arrives at Sonnyās restaurant. Sonny tells her that Lucky was here earlier, and heās adjusting to being back, but heāll be okay. Carly informs him that Lucas is also back and ready to start the next chapter of his life. However, heās worried they are getting back together. That is why sheās here to see him. Sonny says this wonāt have to go on much longer.
Carly doesnāt like Alexis being in prison for Catesā murder. Sonny explains he has hired Martin to represent her, and this case against her will eventually fall apart. Carly asks what if it doesnāt? She is glad Cates is gone, but what will they do to protect Alexis? He tells her not to worry about it. He says they can protect Alexis and everyone involved by finding the gun she threw into the river. Carly asks what if they donāt find it? Sonny says heāll turn himself in if he has to.
Next on General Hospital,
Lucas visits Bobbie's grave
Holly meets Brennan.
Chase and Brook Lynn are in for a shock.

@Laura14 wrote:@mysoutherncomfort It's widely assumed to be Frank Valentini.
That would be my assumption also. Inquiring minds like mine just want to know...what was/is the "retaliation"?
Hmmm, maybe KM wanted to not have her girls hang out at every turn; and, Frank wanted them front and center. (I'm only half kidding.)

I am going on my first vacation in ten years. I should be able to access and post recaps at the hotel barring any wifi issues. But just be advised they might be later than normal next week.
If for some reason I am completely blocked, you know you can get them at the usual soap sites. But I will try and grab and post them here if I can so you have a convenient place to go as always.
I will get the spoilers and today's recap up tonight.
Have a great weekend!
Hmmm, going on vacay...is that code for "I will be entertaining Jack and may not be available"? Seriously, sending my very best to you for a fabulous time. Vacay nearby? Far away? IF you can and wish, please share details (or upon your return for internet safety). And, just so you will not be without...FedExing my olives for your trip. Enjoy, be well, be safe and don't forget to send a postcard................................Huggies. (ahem, clearing throat...regards to Jack).

Isaiah: My oh my we have a bit of "background" intrique today into Dr. Gannon's past....he says to Lucky, "I will never practice surgery again". OK, who died on his table? No doubt he was a world renowned transplant surgeon (my guess) and something went wrong. Guilt, guilt, but on soaps (and sometimes in life) never say never.
Sonny: Gun rolling down the river, Alexis in Pentonville, and you are maybe, perhaps, possibly thinking about turning yourself in which would implicate Carly as having lied about his alibi AND the murder weapon and shell casings are destroyed. Therefore, it would seem to the PCPD that he is only doing this to "save'/"protect" his daughter's mother. And on and on and on.............
Ric: Still cannot fathom that after Ric told Ava about his other client, Heather, he actually called Ava to tell her that all seems to be on track to have Heather released or whatever. Huh? Pending a new trial? And Heather, should she be released, would be living at (let's fill in the blank here). Above Bobbie's? At Laura's? The Q boathouse? A minimum security facility?
Was it my imagination or did Lucky bathe and change his clothes? Hard to tell. During his current tenure on GH, I'm waiting see just how long it takes for him to not look disheveled and clean. Don't throw tomatoes...glad to see JJ back; just please clean him up (asking as a personal favor, Frank).
New Lucas: Good possibilities. But will you really hold to no contact with Brad, blah, blah, except for hospital business. Felix, where for art thou, Felix?
Portia/Ava...lab results: What could possibly go wrong?

Just popping on after watching Thur's GH, (finally back on!)...
trying to catch up on this thread..
@Laura14 "first vacation in 10 years?"...the LAST thing you should be worrying about is being able to update this thread~UNPLUG~ENJOY!!
As for GH...
I have to say I enjoyed Lucky and Liz's first scenes together...they came off warm, natural...got a good vibe between them. I just love that JJ is back. I'm glad the reunion with he and Liz came off nicely...not blah, like the writing can sometimes be these days. Glad Liz was not "cool" to him, but warm, with some humor, teasing him...I liked it. Really felt a chemistry.
Sorry ole Ric, I'm rooting for you too.
Ah Liz....we shall see.
I have great hopes for JJ and GF...I really hope the writers know how to make that a good payoff with all the feels...LONG time coming!!!
Man, that '93 comeback era for L, L and L were my favorite, still to this day...just loved seeing them together, living in the Victorian house...being a family...and the Claire Labine writing years. Good GH days.
Questions for today (remember I'm only just back to this show missing over a decade, so I don't get most things)...
Why did Portia change the labs? I'm guessing whatever Heather did affected Trina? Maybe what killed Spencer? What's the connection with her dislike of Brad...though I know he used to be troublesome. Ugh, I really have no idea and am rambling.
I'm just throwing out random guesses from what little I can speculate on. I'm not a Portia fan, not these days anyway. And I like Curtis...so, he deserves better. Although, maybe this is just one fatal flaw for her?...I recall she used to seem like a good match with Curtis when I stopped watching...I think they were just getting together then.
Heather...that LIST?! Yikes...I was almost buying her "sincere" schpeel today with Alexis and with Rick...but Lordy....if that list is right....I think they should be throwing away the key to the jail cell with her!
Ok...all for now.
ā10-04-2024 05:48 PM
@amyb Portia changed the labs to prevent Heather from getting out of jail. Heather freely admitted to targeting Trina during her hook spree.
BTW, Since Ava now helped free Heather instead, she better watch her back for hook number two. š

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds it would violate the fifth amendment. š¤
That being said, Jack will be unavailable next week too. Thank you for reminding me. I'll snap a pic of us at the Mall of America and the bingo hall. šļøš°
I would also like to publicly thank the WSB for the jet.

Watching today's episode on Hulu now...took me a minute to figure out who Carly was hugging as her "welcome home brother!" duh...Lucas. I much preferred the old Lucas. yuck on this one. Whatever happened to the old actor who played him?
That is all.

@Laura14 have a wonderful relaxing vacation, you deserve it.
And if you don't get to post until you get back, I say don't worry about it! Put up your feet and just go aaahh.
Then have a martini, as many as you want (with Jack, of course)! ā¤ļø
