Bye, Dex. And Joss thought he'd be safer as a cop. Cyrus is a poor man's Heather. At least she does it with flair. Does no place in PC have cameras that were invented decades ago now? Call Spinelli. Stat! Did no one notice the annoying bell stopped when Dex when down?
....
Yes, i noticed that. I also noticed Felicia gave money to James to put in the collection bucket (manned by Cyrus!) and sent Georgie with him so Felicia could impress Chase with her observations. Cyrus was just dinging away at the time and i thought I really hope he doesn't take those kids. Felicia was looking at Cyrus earlier, why would she let the kids go over to him without being with them? I couldn't believe that. Cut to commercial.
When the show came back, Drew and Willow were talking in the park about Willow's decision to leave Michael after Christmas for the kids' sake (what a gal but really, they are clearly over).
But I kept thinking but what happened to the ringing bell? Where was Cyrus? Where were James and Georgie? Hopefully, they are ok. Why didn't they show Felicia collecting them after playing cop? Doesn't Chase ever notice anything?
There was nothing in the previews about it, so hopefully all is well but I did wonder...
Maxie did say "were you ever going to call me?" But she could have maybe been talking to or about Lulu. She did not seemed as alarmed as she should be if her kids were missing. Though Bailey is often MIA, lol.
This new Lulu really seemed like Lulu when she told Jack to "start dialing".
-ā---------------
EDIT TO ADD: From reading some other posts, I think I might have been wrong about Felicia giving money to James to put in the bucket, and that she told him and Georgie to go get more hot chocolate instead?
if that's the case, I apologize. I was kind of half watching lol. I reckon I'm about as dizzy as Felicia sometimes, lol. Ooops!
But I really did wonder about that dinging lol.

Ok, watching today's episode and I had to stop it and come here and ask...any of y'all who've been watching GH for as long as I have....I KNOW it's 40 years later....but Trina and Joss's apt. looks to me like updated, redone, either Scotty and Laura's place in their young marriage...or Laura's apt. after she left Scotty, and was in her "single" apt.
Something about the window nook, layout, even the kitchen island....reminded me of that. I don't even think GH is in the same studio anymore...but am I cray cray, or does anyone see it too?
Maybe I'm dreaming up my memory of that place...it was just something about that window/kitchen island shot today. Not sure the rest is the same....maybe I'm rambling on about nothing...ok back to the show... š¤·āāļøš¤

Maybe I'm being nit picky but it bothers me that Lulu was in a coma for 4 years and she's none the worse for it. In real life she would need extensive therapy to relearn almost everything, it would be a long road to get back to normalcy. What is Cyrus up to having killed Sam?

@amyb You're not crazy. I do vaguely remember the Q apartment myself but I was a kid probably at the time they last referenced this set.
Oh wait, I bought Lucy's Guide to Port Charles! I will look it up and see if she wrote anything about it. I forgot I am prepared now guys. Ebay is your friend! š
ETA: Nothing. She gives a tour of everyone's bedrooms and several Q rooms, but the garage apartment is not in the book. We do have the recipe for Pickle Lila though!

Soap Opera Digest: How did you find out that the show was bringing on a new guy for you to work with?
Tabyana Ali: Well, I was part of the process. Mr. Frank [Valentini, executive producer] let me know that long before [Astrup was cast], that there was going to be a process to find a new love interest. I was like, āOh, great, fantastic.ā And they brought in a group of guys; there was about 11 of them, and I got to audition with all of them and then I got to pick the ones that I felt very connected with and then we narrowed it down to five and then they were able to do the screen-testing, and I worked with them on that. And then we picked our one, and it ended up being Jens. Iām actually really happy that it was him! It was between him and another guy, and fortunately, the other guy [Jequan Jackson, who appeared as Kaiās friend Quinn] got to be on the show as well! I thought that was so cool, that they brought him back. But Jens has been great and I really do appreciate him as a person. Heās awesome.
Digest: What was your impression of Jens during the testing process, and what made you feel like he was a strong contender?
Ali: He has the soft edge to him, something unique. Just the way that he was standing and the way that he was speaking, he seemed like a people person and had a really nice, charming way about him. I think thatās what everybody liked about him ā there was just something to him, a specialness. He just had something that people really liked and enjoyed.
Digest: How did you feel about the show introducing a new guy into Trinaās life? Were you nervous? Excited?
Ali: I was keeping everything open. I donāt know if I was necessarily excited or nervous about it during the auditioning process; I was just kind of curious to see who and what and where this is going to go. I try to just have an open mind about it all.
Digest: He told me not only how much he appreciated the support that he got from you during the audition process, but that you went to see him in the play he was doing at the time, Cyrano de Bergerac. How did that come about?
Ali: Oh! I was coming off the set with Gio [Mazza, Gio] and we saw him in the hallways and were just kind of chatting and talking and he let me know that he was in a play. And then Gio and I were like, āWeāre gonna go see it!ā And he was like, āNo, no, you donāt have to see it.ā And we were like, āYes, we do! We wanna see it!ā So Gio and I bought tickets and went to see it and it was great! He did such a fantastic job.
Digest: Another thing Jens said to me is that he feels Trinaās view of Kai is very important to him. And I have to say ā I liked that! Because the fans have so much admiration for Trina, I think that his respect for her and her opinion of him is a good set-up to a potential romance, because as viewers, we need to believe that whoever the next guy in her life is is good enough for her.
Ali: Yeah, I completely agree with that. I think the thing that Trina does with him is not treat him like heās a D1 football player of the PCU Tigers, you know? She treats him like a normal person, and from the jump, as soon as she found out that he did some wrong [where their class assignment was concerned], she didnāt sweep it under the rug and say, āOh, itās okay. Heās a quarterback!ā She held him accountable.
Digest: How would you describe Jens as a collaborator and scene partner?
Ali: Heās very attentive, a very good listener, a very good communicator. He asks a lot of questions. Heās open to receiving feedback. Also, we just bounce ideas off of each other, you know? If heās feeling something, heāll share with me. If Iām feeling something, Iāll share it with him. He makes space for me to speak on my ideas, and I try to do the same for him. Hopefully, I am doing that for him! And I think that just as people, when you find somebody that you can connect with and vibe with, thatās a really great thing and itās a plus.
Digest: In the episode that aired today [Tuesday, December 10], Trina was caught off-guard when Kai came through with the goods for their shared art history project. How does this start to shift the way that sheās been perceiving him?
Ali: I think she starts to realize that she was putting preconceived notions on him in some ways. Ultimately, I think itās going to weigh on her or make her feel a little guilty, like, āOh, maybe I shouldnāt have made this [judgment] when I donāt even really know this guy and he really is a hard-working person. Obviously, I can see that he can do the work and put in the time and the effort.ā I think there were multiple layers to what Trina was feeling. Yes, Kai was not being a good student or a good partner to Trina, but I also think Trina was protecting herself in some ways, trying not to get hurt again. Not that she was feeling like she liked Kai automatically off the bat, but I think it was just [a subconscious desire] to not want to get close to people like that ā people that are new, you know? She doesnāt want to make a bond with someone new yet. And I think Kai doing this little bit to show her that heās willing to put in some effort, I think it opens her mind a little bit to different possibilities, regardless if itās a relationship or a friendship.

Someone tell Isaiah GH doesn't do HIPPA and any medical status is covered including A-OK.
Lulu is Sam as a blonde. She even has her body part.
Is Joss this stupid? Everyone who thinks police officer is a 'safe' profession raise your hand. No hands. Thank you very much. And please go. Fly, fly away!
Whoever wrote the dialogue between Jack and Colette needs to go get their graham crackers and take a nap.
They are still talking about this ferry while the water is freezing over as they talk. Does it come with a flame thrower on the paddle wheel?
Martin is almost as entertaining as Scotty, but again missing the flair and hair gel.

GH RECAP WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11th
At Aurora, Curtis meets with Jordan about the planned esplanade in honor of the late congressman she and Drew have been working on. He has a better location for it and will make it happen after heās named CEO. Curtis tells Jordan about Drewās backstabbing and that heās teaming up with Michael, just not the way Michael thinks. He doesnāt even think Michael has Auroraās best interest in mind and only wants to hurt Drew. Jordan says sheāll slow down the esplanade project as best she can. He thanks her.
Portia arrives and asks if sheās interrupting. Jordan gets a text that Dex is out of surgery and decides to head to the hospital. Once alone, Portia asks what is going on. Curtis tells her that heās going to take Aurora away from Drew. Sheās so sorry that Drew betrayed him, but he could walk away as they donāt need this company. Curtis says it may be Drewās company, but he founded the Wellness Division, so he canāt walk away. She asks how Jordan fits in and if she is helping him with his plan.
Curtis explains he is, and he only got confirmation today that Drew is planning on not naming him CEO. He called her to let her know he will be working late a lot and heāll need her support. She says he has it. Curtis will need people he can trust by his side to pull this off. He is counting on her and Jordan. She asks about Michael. He says Michael will be useful, but for now, heās running the show.
Anna visits Dex, who is out of surgery, at the hospital. She says they are investigating what happened and need his account of what he recalls. He recounts what happened with the drunk football players, and that he was stabbed while pouring out their alcohol. Dex asks if he could have been targeted because heās a cop.
Joss bursts in, interrupting them, and Anna leaves them. Joss asks how he is and who did this to him. Just then, Dr. Gannon arrives to discuss his surgery. He tells Dex and Joss that he is going to be just fine. Gannon says the knife hit a rib, missed any arteries, and Dex should have a full recovery.
After Dr. Gannon leaves, Joss again asks Dex what happened. He tells her, and she wonders if Sonny could be behind this. Dex doesnāt believe this was Sonny, as he gave him his word that he wouldnāt retaliate against him. Joss thought she wouldnāt have to worry about him getting hurt after leaving Sonnyās organization. Dex promises Joss heās going to be okay and suggests that after finals, they head to a beach somewhere. Joss says sheās already mentally packing her bags.
Jordan arrives to see Dex, but Isaiah tells her that heās with his girlfriend. She assumes he signed the contract if heās working here, and he confirms it. She welcomes him to Port Charles. She decides to go to Rice Plaza and prove to the citizens their Christmas fair is safe. He offers to accompany her, and she accepts.
In the park, Martin leaves a message for Cyrus, asking him to call him as heās been hearing many unsettling things about him. Suddenly, someone grabs his shoulder.
Jason hauls Martin off to the warehouse. Martin asks what this is about. Jason says heāll ask the questions. Anna soon arrives, and Martin asks what is going on and why they are working together. Anna explains they want Valentin, and heās going to help them get him.
Martin insists he has no idea where Valentin is, and he hasnāt been in contact with him. He says if he knew where Valentin was, he would have told her as Charlotte is his grandniece. Anna tells Martin they will do whatever it takes to find Charlotte and tells Jason to jog his memory.
Martin tells them to wait and says they can take his phone, as it has all his contacts, including Valentin, along with his account numbers. Anna asks why he didnāt tell her that from the beginning. Martin tells her sheās working with a killer, heās been kidnapped, and sheās gone so far over the line. Anna doesnāt care if Martin doesnāt like her methods, as her priority is finding Charlotte and bringing her home. Martin asks what sheāll do to him if his phone does not help them.
In Ninaās office, she tells Maxie about her run-in with Lulu. Maxie says sheāll talk to her, but she is a mother desperate to find her daughter. Nina understands, but she is also not the enemy. She has sympathy for Lulu, given she went through a similar experience, but she has no idea where Valentin and Charlotte are.
As Maxie heads out, Drew shows up to speak to Nina. He informs her heās making Michael CEO of Aurora, and Curtis is out. Nina is furious as Curtis is her friend. Drew says Michael stepped up and did a good job running Aurora. Plus, heās doing this for Michael and Willow. He says this could even save Michael and Willowās marriage.
Nina asks if he thinks he can just buy Michael off? Drew says Michael has agreed to this, but Nina asks how Curtis is going to feel having worked his tail off for months. Drew says Curtis can still run Aurora Wellness. Also, this is where she comes in, as he needs her to soften the blow to Curtis. She canāt believe he wants her to stab Curtis in the back. He asks what is more important, Willowās happiness or her friendship with Curtis?
In Carlyās office, Lulu demands Jack call Valentin. He pulls out his phone and calls Valentin, but nobody picks up. Jack explains Valentin has a burner phone, and he canāt trace it. He explains Valentin contacted him, but he doesnāt know where Valentin is. Lulu says sheāll find her daughter if she has to burn the WSB to the ground and smashes Jackās phone. He snarks that he sees the family resemblance between them. He tells them good evening, departs, and Carly informs Lulu that was the wrong move. Lulu asks Carly if she really thinks Jack is being honest. Carly does.
Carly explains Jack has come through for her a lot lately, though he still works for the WSB, so she doesnāt fully trust him. Carly begs Lulu not to go after the WSB. Lulu shifts the conversation and compliments Carlyās new hairdo, and mentions how much has changed. Out of everything, including Luke and Spencerās deaths, Charlotte being gone is the one thing she canāt deal with. Carly tells Lulu that Jack can help them, but not if she goes after the WSB.
Lulu still thinks Nina is lying about Valentin and Charlotte, but Carly says she isnāt. She explains Nina and Valentin split long ago, and she married and divorced Sonny of all people since then. Carly also breaks the news about Bobbieās death and is sorry to give her another shock on top of all sheās been through these past few days. Lulu says Bobbie was such a rock. Carly says her mom would tell her to hold tight, that theyāll find Charlotte, and Spencers donāt give up on each other.
Maxie appears in the doorway and says, āThere you are. Were you ever going to call me?ā Lulu walks to her, and they embrace. Lulu says she was going to call her, and she saw her son and canāt believe how big James got. Maxie has so much to tell her. She apologizes for interrupting Lulu and Carly, but Carly says they can stay as long as they want and gives them space.
Maxie mentions Nina and assures Lulu that Nina would tell her if she knew where Charlotte was, but they will find her. Lulu says they have so much to catch up on.
They sit down, and Maxie tells her about Bailey Lu and Spinelli. Lulu is glad she dumped Peter for Spinelli. Maxie says itās a little more complicated, and sheāll tell her all about it later. Maxie says she finally got out of her own way and accepted she loves Spinelli. Lulu feels the same about Dante, but she knows about Sam. She owes Sam her life and never got to say thank you. Maxie tells her that Sam was proud to help her. Lulu feels blessed to have a special connection with Sam now, but doesnāt know how Dante will ever look at her again. Maxie says she is not to blame for what happened to Sam. Lulu says maybe not, but things were a mess when she went into the coma, and they are a mess now. Maxie tells her that Spinelli is helping to find Charlotte, and they will bring her home.
In Jackās office, he speaks with Collette about finding Valentin. He notes Valentin is now a liability to him and the WSB, and this group of outsiders could succeed in finding him where they canāt. Collette is concerned that he shouldnāt have let Valentin get away in the first place, and he should have let Valentin take the fall for Pikeman. He insists he didnāt let Valentin escape, and while he felt he owed him a debt, that debt is now paid. When Collette brings up Charlotte, Jack begins brainstorming how they could use Charlotte to locate Valentin. After all, how long can a teen go without using their phone? He thinks sheāll want to go online, especially with her mother awake.
Jack tasks Collette with finding Charlotte online. He says she is fluid in French and loves horses. Collette understands and notes that while Anna and Jason are professionals and can help them, what can Carly do for them? He says sheās useful, but Collette isnāt so sure. He thanks her for her advice, but this is a chance heās taking. Once Lulu has Charlotte back, Valentin will become impossible to track.
Back at the warehouse, Jason has Spinelli search through Martinās phone on Spinelliās computer. Carly appears with news, saying Jack found the bug, and he only knows how to contact Valentin through a burner phone. Jason thanks her but says she shouldnāt be here. Carly insists she wants to help them find Charlotte. She says she has connections with Jack. As they bicker, suddenly, Spinelli gets a hit. There was a withdrawal from one of Valentinās accounts in Zurich.
In the office, Martin tells Anna that hurting him wonāt help her find Charlotte or change the fact that she shot her. Anna knows, and she has to live with that for the rest of her life. She owes Charlotte and will do everything she can to bring Charlotte home and back to her mother.
Next on General Hospital,
Sonny tells Natalia there is always time to make things right.
Ric toasts to Ava and canāt wait to see what she does next.
At Charlieās, Kristina tells Alexis it is the perfect time for a little reinvention.
At the Quartermaineās, Tracy cheers, āItās a Christmas miracle!ā
Carly asks Olivia what is going on with Michael and Willow.
Nina lets Willow know sheāll support whatever she decides.
Michael vents to Sasha, āThat is going to cost him dearly!ā

Agree, it's all still SO unbelievable as I watch it, that it's taking away from the storyline she's in...it's soooo unreal. GH is stupid. It is what it is now...it'll just go on from here, but I'm shocked they didn't even try to make this somewhat realistic.
I hate this whole Cyrus thing. Boring. I wish they'd spend more time developing some good stories with legacy characters we actually like.
Dear GH: I'm SICK of the MOB...(isn't 25 years enough?)
I'm SICK OF DEATH
I'm sick of misplaced weirdos from other, now defunct soaps, moving to Port Charles.
I'm SICK of Anna's guilt and urgency...find Charlotte already and be done....instead this will DRAG on because it takes little creativity in constantly just "wondering where she is, and looking for her" from a distance....not much creative writing actually happening for a dragged out too long time. or in other words...the writers haven't figured out themselves where Charlotte and Valentin are either yet.
How about more "love in the afternoon", family drama, love not death, juicy cheating we got with all the Drew/Michael stuff...so here we go...with that pregnancy.
Have I mentioned I'm SICK of the MOB.
OH and I'm sick of Kristina too.
I want more Lucky/Liz.
More Ric and anyone.
More Cody and anyone.
Stop the KILLINNNNNNNG.
Rant over. For now.

So do we think Monica will still be at a conference and not be able to make the big Q Christmas party?
I'm counting on you ladies to give great updates for the next week. I'm moving and will be in transit and then without a tv for awhile.

The interview with Tabyana...well that makes sense now... the first time Kai was on screen and he was with his friend, (obvously, the other guy she mentioned who also auditioned and was in the running to be Kai, but came on as his friend)...I remember thinking right away it would be the "classic pretty boy" (ie. the other guy) that would be her new possible love interest, but then it turned out to be the more "regular" looking guy.
I like that for a change, that model type didn't get it...and I think maybe this actor will play a less "stud" type and more layered, multi-faceted dude. I mean, maybe the other guy would have too...but just saying, it all made sense to me that she said the friend had been in the running too because that day I was surprised when he turned out to be the "supporting actor" in that scene...I thought he was going to be the lead.
