I was kind of disappointed, personally. A few scenes were so dragged out, I felt like the writters were just being lazy. I was also surprised about John!

Being a book reader I was not surprised about Jon.  I was expecting it and was sad even though I knew it was coming.  Most book readers I correspond with do not think Jon is really dead and will be brought back by Melisandre and/or warg into Ghost.  We won't know for sure until Winds of Winter is published.  I liked the finale and it seemed to fly by.  I hate having to wait a year to see what happens next though.

Lena Headey did such an amazing job of that. Cersei Lannister is a character I don't really feel badly for and who earns no empathy from me in most instances. She deserves most of that bad things that befall her because she's caused them. But Lena Headey's performance was fantastic and she made me feel empathy for Cersei for the first time - and possibly the last.

Am I going to have to change the font size every time?

I would suggest though next time you put in Spoiler Alert because some people want to discuss it but some haven't seen the last one.  That way they know not to click over when we all discuss the last episode.

Although in this case maybe it doesn't make any difference.  I was listening to Entertainment Weekly, XM Radio this afternoon and she always gives an account of the night before's episode.  She said, "I should title this "How everyone dies".  Ha!  Good grief!  It was like "Who's next"?

OK so Jon Snow...... I did hear them say (without giving away something we've all heard over and over) I will add I have not read the books nor have I spoken about this but I keep hearing the mantra, "Don't count anyone dead until you see the body.....and even then maybe not".  I'll hold on to that until next season.

Ode to Jon Snow....I can see him now with his black curly locks flowing over the hood with the wind almost seeming to follow him to sure a constand wave of air over his hair.  Those brows forever furrowed (is that a word) those lips (just slightly upturned), the face (worried, yet honest, caring, pensive (wait I said that already).  Anyway, I'm being silly.  I do like him and I hope he isn't gone because he was one of the few good looking people in this whole @#$ show, him and Jaime ain't too bad either!

I would think those two who jumped off of that huge wall broke both legs (among other things)  Ha!  You could see it coming that he'd eventually help her.

What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

Re: Changing Font Size

[ Edited ]

Instead of changing your font size in each post every time, try this:

Hover your mouse cursor over your name.

Click My Settings.

Click Preferences.

Click Display under Preference Options.

Scroll to Text size and click the button for X-Large.

Scroll down and click SAVE.

Font Size.JPG

This will save your font size for reading and for when you write a new post. And people reading your post will see it in the size they selected if you don't change the font size in your post, just in your display settings. It's a win-win for everyone. You only do it once, you see larger font everywhere, I still see my font choice everywhere. I just tested to verify and it worked.

I was going to start a thread this morning about this but it is such chaos! If anyone is interested Entertainment Weekly's website has a recap of the show (5 or 6 pages). There are also a few links for other stories , interviews with the producers and Kit Harington. I read some people think since Melisandre arrived in time for Jon Snow's demise she may be able to revive him. This "death" is harder to take than the death of Robb and Catelyn Stark at the red wedding. The death of Ned Stark was shocking but we only invested 9 episodes in him, not 5 seasons of Jon! I guess we will have to wait until next year when all will be answered.

Oh!  I hope you're right about Jon not being dead.  I don't think he is.  The girl in EW Radio said today (she read the books) that Arya will not stay blind.

But on my search just now I read that Jon Snow (the actor that plays him) says he will not be back.  Go over to Entertainment Weekly website and there's a big story where he said he'd read where he was killed.

He said he knew people are disappointed, but that's the way it goes.  I'd heard an interview with this actor (sorry, can't remember his real name) and the young woman who was his "Cinderella" in the move are acting in a play in 2016 in England, so that would make sense.

I totally agree about Cersei. She has such pride and arrogance but was broken down at last. I think heads will roll after this!! She has no mercy. The finale was packed with a lot of cliff hangers and shockers. Poor Aria, she never gets a break. That whole building and what goes on in it is still a mystery to me. I was devastated at Jon Snow's death. He is a real favorite and easy on the eyes, as well. The Starks and their kin seem to really get hit with a lot of tragedy. Was the dragon just sleeping in that scene? I suppose it will be next April before we find out anything. Love this show. This season flew by so fast.
