Friend of the Family

Watching a 9 episode series called Friend of The Family based on a Netflix documentary, Abducted in Plain Sight.  Very interesting and did not realize the dad was Colin Hanks until the first episode was over

He groomed her and made her turn against her own family but later she came to realize the truth about what happened to her. She is thankful to her family for rescuing her. 

 

That's basically what I understand the story to be.
