Not sure if I actually heard this, read it, or dreamed it but I did hear that Lori Laughlin was possibly going to bring back Garage Sale Mystery. But don't put money on it!

I would love that to happen.  Garage Sale Mystery was my all time favorite of of the Hallmark Mysteries.

I won't hold my breath waiting for that to happen though.  I did hear that she might be returning to Hallmark for When Calls The Heart or else the spin-off of that one.  I can't remember now which one it was.

I read she is doing a movie for the other network.  Is it GAC?  But I've not heard anything about her doing anything on Hallmark.

Loughlin, who I never cared for and liked even less subsequent to her little entitled imbroglio, made what seems to have been a one-off brief appearance in GAC's When Hope Calls Christmas special last year. When Hope Calls was the spin off from When Calls the Heart that only got one season on Hallmark, though I personally liked it better than the show it spun off from. The GAC Christmas special was pretty nicely done and while I don't follow the network, I've not seen mention of the series since then. The series was originally focused upon two sisters starting an orphanage. Unfortunately, one of the sisters and her love interest weren't in last year's holiday special and I preferred the sister that left to the one that remained. No idea if the show or Loughlin will be back. Hope the show is, but prefer it without her in it.

As for Hallmark's mystery movie series, I liked a few of them, but not much of a fan of most. The Teagarden mysteries were fun until they started to deviate too far from the books, which were better and now that Bure has quit Hallmark to move over to GAC one wonders if there will be more anyway. I also enjoyed the Emma Fielding mysteries but they appear to be kaput. 101 did nothing for me, as I cant stand the always smug looking Polaha and won't watch anything he does. Related, I've grown beyond weary of the same stable of actors showing up constantly and while they're mixing it up more than they used to, the newbies are usually not much to write home about at all.

I actually liked it.  I would say it is definitely darker and edgier than the typical Hallmark mystery and all the main characters have flaws.  Interesting note - the writer is also the writer of the Mystery 101 series which I enjoy. Having seen it I can tell he wrote both due to the how the plot is developed and the fact that there is more than one story going on in the movie. Some comments I have seen seem to think that this plot was really for the next Mystery 101 movie but the writer indicated that the Amy/Travis story is a different one.  I really hope we get to see that one.

I liked it, too, @ceejay .  It wasn't your typical Hallmark movie.  On the Hallmark App, it's listed under "series," so I believe/hope they will continue it.

I never was sure what the secret she was keeping was.  Did they explain that and I missed it, or will it just be a continuing theme?

I watched for a few minutes and deleted it. There were so many other great Hallmark movies and mysteries that showed "one of's", Then went out to the next one. I did not care for the premise of this one.

@ceejay

I agree about the script written for my favorites, Travis and Amy.  It was teased after the final Mystery 101.

Unlike the cast of Quinn they had the warmth and connection to make it work.  They also had a fantastic cast around them. Loved the Dad.

I followed the story but didn't connect with any of the cast.  The mystery with the hairdresser was awful.  It's a shame, the mysteries used to be terrific.

If you mean 'Cut, Color, Murder' it was pretty bad, which is a shame because Ryan McParlin is gorgeous and a pretty good actor, but the remaining cast was so weak, as was the writing. Too bad that they left a cliff hanger as to what his involvement was with the lead woman's husband's death. I suspect this was intended to be a series but the premier was so lacking, primarily due to bad casting and bad writing. The female lead had no appeal at all, nor did most of the not particularly talented supporting cast.
