Fred Savage has been fired from his job as a producer/direct on the set of the reboot of The Wonder Years for inappropriate behavior, the nature of which was not specified.
"Recently, we were made aware of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Fred Savage, and as is policy, an investigation was launched," 20th Television said in a statement. "Upon its completion, the decision was made to terminate his employment as an executive producer and director of 'The Wonder Years'."
Savage starred in the original series, as a child.
I guess "the wonder years" come late for some.

Sorry to hear this, always liked him. My son resembled him as a child, people would tell me this.

Some just never learn. 😡

So odd that he would do something like that on the show that made him famous and that he would want to be remembered as having a part of both back then and now in the reboot.
Some men just can't seem to understand boundaries.

Back in 2018 actress Alley Mills (the mother on the show) dropped the bombshell that the original "The Wonder Years" ended because of a lawsuit against Fred. She called it ridiculous at the time but who knows now what really happened.
From 2018 article:
The costumer’s name is Monique Long. In 1993, she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against then 16-year-old Savage, who played the show’s star Kevin Arnold and then 20-year-old Hervey, who played his older brother. Long accused the actors of verbally and physically harassing her. Because of this, Long claimed she wasn’t able to do her job properly and was fired.
They settled out of court. Alley Mills say the network did this so they wouldn't create a scandal.
He always comes across as squeaky clean. Perfect ruse, perhaps?
Or whomever made the claims now knew about his past and decided to go for a cash grab?
🤔

Maybe there will be enough evidence or witnesses to clarify if this claim is true or fraudulent .
Remember that subway guy who lost all the weight and they hired him as a spokes man who later turned out was involved in child porn . So, you really don't know now a days

There has to be more to this ... it has to be very bad.
These days, investigators have to be VERY careful uncovering facts, and always giving both parties the benefit of the doubt ... and then some.
After all, right around the corner is the filiing of a wrongful termination lawsuit. So, they better be SURE the evidence they uncovered would stand up in a lawsuit and justification for firing.
It'll be interesting to see what is next revealed ....

@Tinkrbl44 Yes, HR departments know they must have their ducks in a row and their victim credible. For all we know, he may have a reputation.

Fred Savage was also accused of harassing and attacking a crew member in 2015 in another show; I believe it was "The Grinder" but I had never watched this one.
There was no evidence presented in this case but it was settled out of court.
I won't say there is a pattern here yet-but the allegations of harassment seem to follow him from the original "Wonder Years" to this reboot.

Nothing surprises me now.
