For Here Come the Brides fans

My favorite show when I was a girl.

I read this morning that Bridget Hanley, who played Candy Pruitt, passed away a few days ago at the age of 80.  I cried. I loved that show so much.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

That is sad news.  I just adored Bobby Sherman, he was so cute!  I have to say I loved that show as a young girl too.   TV had really good shows for families back then.

Awww 😔

I was a fan of the show, and loved Bobby too.  Man, all of the deaths of people I once enjoyed and admired are ever present reminders that I'm getting old.  I don't feel old though 🤷‍♀️  Time is passing way too fast.

@gidgetgh  Thanks for this news. I loved that show too and watched it every week. Robert Brown, the oldest brother, was Greek god-like handsome but David Soul was my favorite brother. I still love the "Seattle" theme song which I listen to on Youtube once in a while.

Yes, I liked Bobby Sherman too.

I've wondered: was it based in reality or was it a made-up premise?

Sad news.  I also watched when it was first on and she was a beautiful  and charming television personality.

The story is based upon real events:  The Mercer Maids.

Young woman from the east were enlisted by Asa Mercer to move to the Seattle area which was populated at the time mostly by males.

And the TV show was based on the preceding film with Howard Keel.

I loved that show.   So sorry to hear of her passing.  I also was sorry to hear of Michael Nesmith passing.  I loved watching the Monkees.
