Has anyone noticed that a large percentage of that channels shows are contests?

It seems to me that a lot of these shows are contests, i.e., singing, dancing, ninja!!!  Don't find them entertaining at all.

Not just Food Channel shows....it is cheaper to have “ volunteers “ than pay regular hosts and writers, etc.

The quality of most shows on now is so poor that with all the TVs we have, we hardly watch anything.  I would rather read a book or do Words with Friends on my iPad.

I'm not interested in the competition shows.

Some of them seem very contrived and scripted.

But the cooking shows don't show a chef, it's always a home cook.

I miss Emeril and Tyler Florence.
