Often I've said anything is better than more mindless "Reality TV" that simultaneously raises the "ick factor" and lowers the collective national IQ.
There's a looming trend of adapting hit feature films into TV series that seems to be the latest step in the inevitable progression of Hollywood's abdication of responsibility for innovative, creative, original programming.
What's the reasoning behind this? "You liked it on the big screen, you'll love it on the small screen!"
With planned projects including Minority Report; Rush Hour; Big, Real Genius, Problem Child, Bachelor Party and Uncle Buck, it appears that this is a declaration of surrender. It's official - they're running out of new ideas. - Keri
