Film Noir movie "Pitfall" on TCM

Sorry, I don't recall who suggested this movie but I want to say "thanks"! I did record it and just watched it today. Excellent! Raymond Burr was so creepy and we never find out if he survived the shooting or not.

I missed my Sunday noir films in March and was happy to tune in this morning. I enjoyed the movie and read something very interesting about it. Given that the film was subject to the censorship of the era, there was concern that the adulterer didn't get off badly. So, the director took two of the censorship members out to lunch, knowing that each had a mistress. By the time lunch was over, the film was approved. Good thing because the ending was not clear cut about the main character's future, just like real life
