An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant, AND ALSO the Warren Beatty remake. Both were quite beautiful and both can get tears out of stony old me, but as I recall, the Beatty version fared more sadly with the critics.

Loved “The Proposal” but mostly because of the cast.

1944 Orson Welles version of Jane Eyre.

Favorite romantic movies....someone listed An Affair to Remember...which is at the top of my list for the movie itself and for my wonderful memories of watching it with my mother starting when I was 11....decades ago. We lost her 37 years ago but everytime I watch that movie I recall all those times watching and sharing a box of tissues together. Message in a Bottle, Pretty Woman, The Way We Were, Out of Africa, Anna and the King, and Sabrina are also favorites.
