Since most of the new Christmas movies have already premiered which one was your favorite?

I thought that many of them were really sub-par this year but one in particular stood out as being quite good to me.  

It was called "My Christmas Guide".  The actor was so believable as being sight impaired that I had to look him up to see if his condition was real.  What I read was that while he isn't completely blind, he is legally blind due to Stargardt's disease.  

This movie wasn't your usual theme of most of the Hallmark movies.  It was very touching and thought provoking.  

My husband would rather have a root canal than watch a Hallmark movie but after I told him about this movie he did sit down and watch it.  He actually told me that he found the movie very interesting and it made him think about how difficult life situations can be for a sight impaired person.  Of course both of us fell in love with the Golden Retriever in the movie.

The ones on Hallmark Mysteries & Movies seem to have more substance. Can't say I found anything outstanding so far.

Have to say that Catch Me If You Claus which premiered on Thanksgiving had to be the dumbest one yet. Some sort of caper with an anchorwoman and Santa's son. Bumbling thieves like in Home Alone, without a smart kid. Only dumb adults!

The actor in the Christmas Guide does have a vision health issue.

I looked him up and it was stated that there is something that he has been dealing with for the last few years.

I agree that the movie with guide dog was well done and thought-provoking.

I also enjoyed the movie about a widower and the turkey hotline (was it Holiday Hotline?).

I really enjoyed A Merry Scottish Christmas. Lacey Chabert was the female lead, and her Party of Five brother "Bailey," Scott Wolf, played her brother in this movie too!

I enjoyed The Christmas Blessing with Lori Laughlin. I think she is a good actress. It was bad what happened with her but I am glad she is back. I wish they would bring Garage Sale Mysteries back in production even though she has moved to GAF. 

Another one I enjoyed was with Jen Lilly in The Paris Waltz. I thought it was a good movie..I enjoyed the dancing.

While I enjoy many of the new Hallmark new movies, my favorites continue to be many of the older ones such as:

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Snow Bride

The Town Christmas Almost Forgot

November Christmas

Love at the Thanksgiving Parade

I could go on and on.......

A Christmas Visitor. Dean McDermott is in this one. May bring a tear to your eye,I really enjoy it.

I've watched so many nice movies on Hallmark and Great American Family channels it's hard to pick a favorite. Still recording, more to watch!
