9:15 a.m. Eastern--  "Dark Passage". Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Agnes Moorehead, Tom D'Andrea, Bruce Bennett.

Wouldn't you say this is almost THE most enjoyable of the Bogey/Bacall teamings?  Romantic and suspenseful.  She's the sophisticated artist who believes in Bogey's innocence and hides him in her very cool Forties Moderne San Fran. apartment.  Agnes Moorehead turns in one of her terrific, off-beat performances too, and gets to dress glamorously in a character part, for a change!

11:15 p.m. Eastern--  "Nora Prentiss".   Darker noir, in which a susceptible doctor (preppily handsome Kent Smith) falls for torchy singer Ann Sheridan, shatters his marriage and fakes a new identity.  Nice art direction and cinematography.  Ann Sheridan never disappoints.

1:15 p.m. Eastern--  "Hollow Triumph".   Paul Henreid, Joan Bennett, Edward Franz, Leslie Brooks

Brilliant, chameleon-like career criminal discovers he identically resembles a prosperous psychiatrist, who is easy to "dispose of", and take his place.  Joan Bennett gets to play the complex role of the doctor's beautiful but lonely, alienated assistant, who finds it not all that hard to accept the substitution....  Both Henreid and Bennett are perfect in these challenging roles, making this a very interesting noir with a knockout punch of an ending.

Love, love, love the story behind "Nora Prentiss."  Great ending too.  One of my all time favorite noir movies.

Never heard of Hollow Triumph.  Anything w/Paul Henreid is well worth watching.

Oh, totally, @Mz iMac.    You tend to go for the most no-holds-barred, existential and unflinching noirs--  I think "Hollow Triumph" will be right up your alley...
