Elvis’ Women - Season 1

[ Edited ]

I just read this is going to be on Peacock. I don't even know if we get this, but it sounds interesting. Does anyone else know anything about this?  Apparently it was on Prime before.

ETA: I should have said it's a documentary.

Hadn't heard about it, and won't bother to watch.

I would watch it. I am a hard core Elvis fan since I was a teenager. I don't get Peacock though. Comcast used to give it to us free but now we have to pay for it. Not going to do that. Cable bill is bad enough now.

I'll bet it's sure interesting!!!  I once saw on a documentary that he briefly dated Donna Douglas from The Beverly Hillbillies.  They said the affair went on during the filming of a movie the two were in together.  Supposedly, he'd made promises of a serious relationship and to no surprise, left her devastated.  It said she was deeply affected by this for years.

I haven't heard anything about this documentary but I would like to see it. I find the life of Elvis very interesting and think this would be a good watch.

I heard the same thing.  It was sad.  I got the impression that she was very innocent and believed everything he told her.  i believe it was said that she never got over it.

Re: Elvis’ Women - Season 1

I always thought Elvis had a good voice but I was never a fan. I did become interested in him after seeing the movie Elvis with Austin Butler and Priscilla with Jason Elordi.  I have since watched a couple of documentaries about Elvis and find his story quite interesting.  I would watch this if I get Peacock, which I don't think I do.

@sunshine 919 ...

The documentary is actually titled "Loving Elvis" on Peacock...It originally aired in the UK as "Elvis' Women"  and then, when it was aired in the US, the title was changed to "Loving Elvis"....It is three episodes...each an hour long.

I found it to be one of the most in-depth and revealing life stories about Elvis, the many women in his life and others who surrounded him, including Colonel Parker who was in total control of Elvis' life and career from the very beginning at age 20 until his death.

It was very compelling and also so very tragic.

@Judaline ...In answer to your question..."Who were these women?"...It could be anyone...many actresses, as we all know...as well as whomever caught his eye...It could be a fan standing outside his mansion to wherever he happened to be at the time...They were all mesmerized by Elvis...In my opinion, they were like a drug to Elvis.
