I think it was past time for that show to end.  Somewhere along the line, it jumped the shark.  But that's okay; Ellen will keep busy hosting sadistic primetime competitions.

I've never watched her show. She's never appealed to me.

I stopped watching when I began noticing that Ellen had a sadistic streak. She played nasty practical jokes on guests, scaring the wits out of them. Not funny. Then, the one time I saw her game show, she encouraged absolute glee when people were abused. I know they knew what they were getting into but I didn't have to watch the lunacy. When I read about the work environment and cruelty, I wasn't surprised.

@Pearlee This is LONG overdue to be ending in my personal opinion.  Her excuse on the exit reminds one of Judge Judy, liar, liar, pants on fire!

I quit watching a couple seasons ago.  I thought the games that were played on the show were humiliating and mean spirited.  Also, I felt like Ellen objectified men.  

On the positive side, I always liked that Ellen would give her guests time to talk and not interrupt and make it all about her.

It's no loss for us. We don't watch talk shows anymore. All of them have become so negative.
