Bewitched, Elizabeth Montgomery

It was May of 1989 when Herbie J Pilato (a former NBC page turned actor, turned producer), buzzed the intercom outside of Elizabeth Montgomery’s gated Beverly Hills home and announced himself to the TV icon saying, “Hi, this is Herbie.”

“Oh, goodie,” an enthused Elizabeth said, and she opened the gates.

She was expecting Herbie as he was the one person her ex-husband Bill Asher told her to talk with. Herbie was there to write a book on the star’s most iconic series.

His stories, along with countless others, are captured in the new documentary Elizabeth Montgomery: A Bewitched Life on Sunday, April 16 at 9pmET/6pmPT (repeating later at 12amET/9pmPT) on REELZ.

I saw it.  Good show but it was more about Betwitched than about Elizabeth altho there was a lot about her. Looks like you can see it on Youtube.

I saw another program about her on Reelz - might have been  Behind Closed Doors.

So sad that she ignored symptoms of colon cancer.

I happened to watch because there was nothing I wanted to see but it was very interesting. I only thought of her as Samantha on Bewitched but there was so much more to her life. I didn't know about ****** York's health issues either although I loved him as Darren.

It was excellent!!!  Very well done.  Really too bad her father never supported his daughter's choices and their relationship.

I also loved her TV movies , she really made a big departure from Bewitched , i think the first one was A case of Rape , very dramatic and several other very watchable movies.

I still watch Bewitched reruns. When DD was little it was one of her favorite shows to watch, along with I Dream of Jeannie

I saw her play Lizzie Borden when I was younger. It scarred me for life!
