It didn't surprise me that this movie was made. 

 

Jesse was supposed to be killed off in the first season of BB, but Vince Gilligan realized how popular Jesse became and rewrote the story to fit him in for the remainder of the series.

 

I always felt that BB was really more about Jesse considering he was a central figure in almost every part of BB.
