I would prefer it would stay professional and the themes would be solving crimes.  Once characters get personal the plot changes and the stories are not about "getting the bad guys."  Life is so hectic these days especially watching the news or reading newspapers it was a nice break.  Crimes resolved in one hour.  LOL while the world seems in turmoil.  Nice to have resolution.
