For me..Abby in the last 2 seasons was unbearable as a character...it is as thought the writers only concentrated on her character...didnt develop anyone else

and her "goldfish Lips" drove me crazy

The golden period was when in the middle seasons...It was a groundbreaking series for ists time. Medical shows since are cardboard cutouts of ER

@ProudMa  Actually "The Book of Abby" is one of my favorites and I have it on DVR! There were times I didn't like her but the last couple of episodes, to me, showed a more interestng side of her.

@Suzeecat I'm sure you are thinking of some other medical show. ER never had an episode where a bunch of doctors adopted babies.

It airs quite a bit on POP.  ER was always must see TV for me, never missed an episode in all 15 seasons.

For sure, my VCR was kept quite busy back then !!! I also liked Chi Hope at the same time I liked ER.

@mom2four0418   My ortho guy thinks he is God's gift to medicine, but he is good.  That's the only reason I had him to my hip replacement and 14 months later my TKR.
