Anyone watching on Hulu? It is a pretty good series so far, don't know if it is a true story.

I'm not watching it, but I may. Yes, it's a true story about Elizabeth Holmes. There's a synopsis of it on NBC. I would post the link, but it's not allowed.

I also started watching it and find it very enjoyable. Last night 20/20 dedicated the entire show to the story. Haven't watched yet, but have it taped.

She's such a con. She even faked that low voice of hers. So strange.
Back in 2019 I watched a HBO docu about her and it was a good one. This one:

I don't have Hulu. It most definitely is a true story. One of the scams of the century. It's been in the news and it's received coverage for years.

The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley
to me she sounds like a guy did she give any reason why she faked her voice.

I don't recall her ever saying why she spoke that way. But I know that she was totally obsessed with Steve Jobs and everything Apple. She even tried to dress like Steve with her black turtleneck and black pants. Back when she was starting her Theranos company there weren't any women taking the lead in positions like hers. I think Elizabeth wanted to sound like a man so it would draw attention to her rather than just being another woman who, back in those days, didn't get much attention at all. Some of the people interviewed on the recent show about Dropout said that when she spoke it was different, like a robot voice and that made them want to know more about what she had to offer. It was all part of her lure to get investors.
