Dr.Strangelove TCM Today

6:15 p.m. ET

I'm posting this for anyone interested but this is a film I have never liked. I have tried any times to watch it in an effort to understand why some think it is so great but I just don't like it and never will. For those who do, it is on TCM today.

There are a handful of excellent movies that I could only watch once, e.g., Silence of the Lambs, Schindler's List. Dr. Strangelove is on that list too. It's ironic but very disturbing and I cannot watch it again. I am a great fan of Peter Sellers. He was brilliant. I've seen many of his films many times but not this one. Once was enough.

It bothered me when it came out, I was little, doesn't bother me now.  You are either a fan of that kind of humor or not.

@Sooner I disagree with your last sentence. IMO a person can be a fan of that kind of humor but not in all contexts. This is one context in which I was not.
