I love this show.  I like seeing her help people when they are at a very low time in their lives, she makes them feel better about life in general.

I like seeing how gross it is too.

She seems like a lovely, kind person.

It's just a good show.

For me, there was a a heart breaking case last night. A yong woman with Neurofibromitosis, if you dont know what that is you can look it up. This was a very severe case affecting her entire body externally.

Last week and the week before a man with the worst case of Rhinofyma ever, it looked like he had 2 tennis balls hanging off of his nose. Dr Lee had to refer him to a real hospital suregery center, this was not an in office procedure. it was quite complicated and had to be handled by head and neck surgeons, but it did have a positive outcome.

The typical lipoma removals are becoming boring.

has there been an update about the man with rhinofyma....hope his surgery was successful...

Yes, as I mentioned he had a successful outcome at the Head and Neck surgical center Dr Lee sent him too. She was there for the operation. She had promised him she would see him thru and she did. It is amazing to me how anyone can live their daily life like this. It had to be detrimental to his breathing.

You know, this is something I never EVER thought I would watch.

That said, I just really like her so much!!

She seems like a good and caring doctor, and I find myself mesmerized and it's interesting learning about conditions about which I had no knowledge before this.

The only rule I have for myself, as pertains to this show, is that it's probably not a good idea to eat while I watch.  Smiley Surprised

I love her, the skill she has to help these people is amazing.  I cannot watch any movies with blood and violence but I can watch her.  She is amazing at what she does.  To see the change she makes in peoples lives is heartwarming

What amazes me is that she does these procedures right in her office with just Lidocaine to numb the area, no one is ever put to sleep, she is not licensed for that. I do often think that some to come to her coud easily have been treated the same in their home towns, some come from big cities, there has to be very qualifid doctors there too.

I have heard her clients say that no one else would help them.

A few years ago my coworker had a lipoma removed from her arm, it was done by a plastic surgeon in a hospital setting as an outpatient. I wonder how many derrm docs actually do this in their offices?

My thoughts are that this show specifically looks for patients who have had issues for years and not been successful in finding the help they need.

It is clear to me that many of these people sought help from the wrong type of doctor, and then quit trying to find the right one.    Also, many of these patients just let fear take over, and did nothing, or let insurance restrictions keep them from searching for the right specialist.

As mentioned earlier, the man with the severe case of rhinofyma sought help from Dr Lee, a dermatologist, when he needed an ENT, a plastic surgeon, and a specialty Head and Neck clinic.   A dermatologist can remove a growth, but not growths wrapped around a muscle, or that involve major blood vessels.

I have watched several patients with auto immune issues travel to see Dr Lee, when her treatment of starting Humira injections seems like something that could've been done "back home".

It doesn't surprise me.

This show has brought me to tears when I see how happy they are with the results and start to feel like they can get their lives back. Some of the cases look very painful too. Not much grosses me out anymore, I just feel sympathy and want to give them all a hug.
