Excellent doctor, but the show and its premise are a carbon copy to Dr Pimple Popper are so close, even the patients have the same diseases and symptoms. Maybe these 2 docs should merge into one practice!!!

@Shelbelle I think the cases are extreme compared to Dr. Pimple Popper, and I have seen several new such as the woman who had the oozing under her arms and behind, extremely painfu, I had never seen anything like this, poor woman.

Was the lady with all the lipomas all over her body obese in addition to the condition she had or did her condition make her that size? I've never heard of the disease she has, I think it began with a D. How awful for her to have so much pain all the time.

I watch Dr. Mercy and Dr PP and there are so many sad cases. It is a shame anyone should have to go through life without help for these conditions. They probably don't have insurance because some cannot work do to the condition. That treatment and surgery would cost a lot and probably even with insurance it won't pay since it is not life threatening. Mental damage should be a reason for insurance to pay. It is just too sad for words.

I think it was a combination of both. Towards the end of the show when doing an update on her, her hips were ginormously puffed out. That I would guess was definitely a combo of lipomas on top of obesity.

There was a much more severe case of Rhinofyma presented on Dr PP, Dr Lee had to refer him to a head and neck specialist, it was way out of her league.

@chickenbutt Just like you, I never thought that I would watch these shows, but I am glad that I now do watch them. I have learned so much. While I don't know anyone with any of these issues, I feel so bad for the people who do have them. Imagine living with these diseases and not having access, for whatever reason, for quality care with these issues. I realize that not every doctor is qualified to treat cases such as these, maybe that will change across the country with these shows. At least by watching them, I feel that if I had a need that I would be better informed while seeing a local doctor.

Yes, the woman does have that terrible disease, Dr Lee had a case and she said all she could do was recommend taking steroids, but Dr Mercy was also doing some in office removals.
