Downton Abbey..how many more episodes?

Love the show, but wish they would get on with the police thing with Mr and Mrs Bates already. Wrap it up and also Cora's Marigold. Anyone know how much time they have to bring these things together?

I think they only air it for like 8 weeks or less. I don't like that it's such a short season. I'm sure they'll leave us dangling until next season.

Episode 5 just aired. It's an 8 episode season, plus the extra one that aired on Christmas Day in the UK.

I guess we don't have many episodes left of this season. A relative of mine in England told me that there will only be one more season of Downton Abbey. Such a pity, it's a fantastic show.

There are a total of 9 episodes. The last one, the Christmas episode, airs on March 1. I recently checked on the PBS site since I'm DVRing the series.

So there's one more season? I'd wish for more, but will be happy to get that.

I'd been worried they were starting an end of the series wrap given some of the plot lines. Not discussing specifics because of possible spoilers.
