It's official Season 6 will be the last season of Downton Abbey!

Yes, I read that a few days ago. Sad, but Julian Fellowes next series should be great too - called The Gilded Age on NBC. Sort of like an American version of Downton - instead of the aristocracy, it will be captains of industry in late 19th century NYC.

I saw that on TVGuide.com ..... it seems several of the actors' contracts are up at the end of Season 6 and they want to move on to other projects.
I'm guessing the British don't offer more money to keep actors tied to their successful shows like we do.

I'll miss Downton too but am looking forward to The Gilded Age. LM

They will all be missed and Sunday nights will never be the same without the family.

Hi Lilysmon, what is this show about?
Don't forget, Mr. Selfridge and the Midwife start Sunday night, 29th!

I will miss DA so much, plus this is Mad Men's final season. Two of my favorites are ending.
At least Mr. Selfridge returns this week, plus it has been renewed for season 4.
The new series, The Gilded Age, sounds interesting.
