Just saw this on another post prior. Very sad news, may he rest in peace. So many celebrity deaths recently !

@Kachina624 - Thank you for letting us know. 

They must have been a special couple, as their family and close friends know. He was a very private person who seldom traveled with her. I saw his picture only a few times, and it was never posed.

 I think we all know Dolly is a person who has a deep faith. We will all be praying for her. And she will be comforted by the prayers of many strangers.

I wasn't saying he was a celebrity I am aware of that. Sorry for the misstatement. My point was that their have been several celebrity deaths recently.  R&B singer Angie Stone died in a car accident on 3/1, Gene Hackman, R&B singer Roberta Flack, Wayne Osmond of the Osmond Brothers, Michelle Trachtenberg (only 39). May they all rest in peace.

Dolly is a national treasure.  So sad about the love of her life. She's strong though and has a mission in life so I think she'll continue in that manner.

ETA...thanks for posting the picture of Carl Dean @Desertdi.  I've only ever seen a much younger picture of him.

I just read this news tonight.  Sad news for Dolly; they were together for so long.  Obviously a committed couple; he was content to be in the background and let her shine.

Celebrity or not, it will be a heartbreaking time for her.
