If so, why is David broke and can't provide housing for his wife?

I read somewhere (and I’m not sure how true it is) that they only get paid about $1,000 per episode and only the American part of the couple gets paid since it’s illegal to work before getting a green card.  I can’t remember how many episodes there are but if there were seven he would only get $7000 for the deal.  So that would make sense why David doesn’t have any money to pay for housing.

I also wondered about the car they drive.  It was a Volvo and now a small red truck.  Also, where does Annie get her clothes?

I've wondered about that too.  Why would anyone want to be on any of those shows if you're only getting a small income?

He is SUCH a loser and she's a gold digger who wants a green card. Can't stand them but yes I watch!!

My opinion as to why he married her would get me put in a time out, for sure!

I would imagine they get their 15 minutes of fame and exposure. Just depends on if it's good exposure or bad exposure........usually not good. I wonder how much is drama created just to make the series more interesting and keep the "players" on the episodes.
