Re: Do you use any movie phrases?

If I'm quoting something, it's usually South Park.

However, I do enjoy movie quotes.

In Fletch, the guy who wants Fletch to kill him has this conversation with him:

Alan: Do you own rubber gloves?

Fletch: I rent, with an option to buy.

Sometimes people can be rather condescending and will say things like, "don't you own a roll of tape?" or "don't you have a pen?" or some other smart remark after you say something.

"I rent, with an option to buy," is the proper response. 👍

Thanks for posting these, everyone! Love reading them. Love a good movie quote!

Here's a few I haven't seen in this thread that I use...

"Inconceivable" and "As you wish" Princess Bride

"People? I ain't people." Singin' in the Rain

"Who you gonna call?" Ghostbusters

Everybody Counts or Nobody Counts- Harry Bosch.

OK, It's from a television show called Bosch and the books that I enjoy reading by Michael Connelly.

But I love the saying, and I catch myself saying it.

"Shaking the tree, boss"...Cool Hand Luke. A useful phrase when telling the mate to be patient, almost done in the bathroom. 😁

Re: Do you use any movie phrases?

In the movie Terminator 3, Liquid Man said, "Get out!" to the helicoper pilot.  I use that phrase when I drive up to our house and wait for my husband to get out of the car in the driveway.  (There's no room to open the passenger side car door in the garage)

Man plans. God laughs.
