The original I Saw What You Did - with Joan Crawford, I believe - scared the crap out of me when I was a teenager and babysat....

Also The Innocents with Deborah Kerr - just creepy...

I didn't see the remake (with Nicole Kidman, I think???)

Agree with Wait Until Dark - very creepy - saw on stage and at movies - EVERYONE screams when Alan Arkin jumps out - even when you know its coming!!!

Oh I forgot - Midnight Lace - just creepy - that weird voice on the phone!!!  Doris Day was great!  Worth watching just for the gorgeous clothes she wore!!

For those who did mention The Uninvited, IF you can find the book (its hard to find, out of print I think), its really far more scary than the movie, which has humor in it where the ghost is concerned but the book is just creepy!!

'Changeling', with George C. Scott. Intelligent , well acted movie. Not any of this ax wielding stuff of today. This one made you believe it. I bought it. Probably hard to find now days.

'Carrie', the original with Sissy Spacek was good too.

I liked the first Halloween movie.  Every Halloween when my girls lived at home we'd put that movie on after the trick or treaters had left and watch it.

I like scary movies but my favorite kind of scary movie is all of the Final Destination movies.  I love movies where they are young unknown people because they can and do get killed.

You know Tom Cruise (except for one movie) isn't going to die, ugh, don't like him anyway.
