Did anyone else think this??

In watching episodes of Chicago Hope, I was struck with how similar the voice of Alan Arkin and David Schwimmer sound nearly identical. If you were away from your tv and listened to them talk, I think they sound amazingly alike. Anyone else "hear" this and think so too???

I don't think they sound alike. Perhaps their cadences are similar.

Don't remember the sound from Chicago Hope. I will say that lately I've been hearing a lot of celebrities talk over commercials.

Some are very memorable. I don't remember the commercials but Julia Roberts does one. There are so many.

Here's my opinion on that. This is why the E Trade baby was discontinued (I miss him so much). I read that he was discontinued because everyone liked the baby so much no one remembered the name of the company (E-trade).

This is the problem I have with these celebrities voicing the commercials. I tune in on the voice and whatever they are saying on the product totally goes out the window.

How do you feel about this?

Yep you are right!!! Listen to him on Chicago HOpe then find an old Friends and listen to David Schwimmer and see if you think they sound alike (not when he is whining though)

If they were born and/or raised in the same area of the country, that could be why their voices or speech patterns sound alike.

Years and years ago there was a talk show host on KDKA radio in Pittsburgh who you would swear was comedian George Carlin. He explained that the two of them had grown up in the same neighborhood and everyone from that neighborhood talked that way.
