Did Someone At HLN Bonk Their Head?

I was flipping channels for something to listen to for background noise while I dusted.

Checked HLN and guide said Morning Express with Robin Mead. Wait, come again, they got axed in December 2022.  I checked and it is some CNN show.

How hard it is to display the actual show that is on?

The other night it said Forensic Files, it wasn't.  I thought it was a one time glitch.

My DVR was set to record Very Scary People (which isn't even on HLN anymore - it's now on the ID channel.)  A few nights ago I noticed I had eight episodes on my DVR  But they were Forensic Files even though it showed VSP.  Crazy.

p.s.  I didn't know Robin Meade got axed!

@FranandZoe  I turned to HLN one morning last December and Robin Mead said it was their last show.  Just like that.

To me HLN appears to be on the brink of going away.

@Sugipine  I don't think HLN was ever the best decision just as I never really got the need for Q2 and especially Q3.

I loved HLN back in the day, every half hour just the important news of the day without commentary.

One of my sisters and I were up late one evening and had HLN on but low volume, they announced live at first Princess Diana's car wreck and then her death. I'll never forget it.

I think everyone knows that HLN has been gone for many months, regardless of what the program guide says.

@FranandZoe, LOL, I just set a recording for that show on ID. Is it any good? I figured I'd give it a shot.

Re: Did Someone At HLN Bonk Their Head?

At least on my service, the Guide is provided by the service provider, not the station itself.  It is not responsive to last minute changes.  So, often the QVC guide might be different than what is showing because QVC changed the content.  So, I guess I don't understand how you can set your DVR to record a show on ID at a particular time and it record HLN instead.  If it changed channels, you might have to go in and re-do the recording settings, but if the Guide is showing Forensic Files, you would think it wouldn't record it thinking it was Very Scary People.  Is this one of the streaming services?  I know I can set mine up to record a series (on that channel), and it will record all the episodes.  The only problem I've had with that setting is that it also records the re-runs.
