How dumb is the mother Laurie (?)? You don't open up and tell your life story to a complete stranger, I knew she was a reporter.

I watched the last episode today, this was really good. There seemed to be a big resolve very early in the episode, you knew it was ending too soon, you wait for something to happen.  It is a sad tale, the ending left a lot of questions unanswered.

All I can tell you is this is my favorite book from 3 plus years in book club.  Makes me wish I had Apple TV.

Loved the book-it was soo good! Do not have Apple TV,so couldn't see the series........The ending in the book was a WHAT?????

I don't have Apple TV either.  I read the book when it first came out.  The ending in the book certainly stuck with me.   I am hoping that Netflix, Prime or Hulu will pick it up at some time.
