long. Well here we are with 5 couples left.

Next week is the finale! Wow this season is flying by!

Can't believe how much the judges disliked James's dance.

They were brutal with each giving an 8.

@threecees  Don't you think that they just try to keep the playing field sort of even? They go hard on the front runners & a little softer on the laggers & let the audience vote so they feel like they are making a difference?

Any way. I think it has been another great season. I did notice some changes in costumes & choreography from the previous seasons, but over all it has been really fun.

Kel with his dance after losing his best friend and then

James and his wife losing their baby on the way. So sad.

Wow, they said that this just happened on Saturday. Surprised

that he was here tonight but I guess the show must go on and 

he is obligated to dance and possibly so close to the win. 

But Kel and Ally are always great as well. I think it is the end for

Lauren tonight.

Going solely on tonight's dancing, I am still keeping my fingers crossed for Kel. Ally also has done well.

I find the emotional content simply distracting. That includes Hannah's little interaction with Carrie Ann.

Such a sad show tonight. The bottom two couples didn't deserve to be in that position.

I just block all the emotional stories.  Has nothing to do with their dancing and clearly used as vote getters.  I haven't watched the show yet (west coast) so no idea at what point the Van Der Beeks released the info about their loss, whether it was immediately after, or over the weekend.  If it was just tonight,  let me say I feel horrible for the Van Der Beeks' loss.  Awful.  At the same time, this is very raw.  Even if he decided to dance, and they decided to share it tonight for the first time, this info was thrown out as a vote grab IMO.  No time to even grieve and he throws that out there to everybody for the almighty vote.  I feel very badly for his wife and kids.   JMO.

I did not feel like sharing the James information was a vote grab because it was not shared until the last of the show. I did feel like Hannah’s drama was a vote grab.

Kel obviously shared a strong emotional connection to violence. He seemed sincere.

As much as I like James, maybe voters think he should be home now

with his wife. She and the his 5 kids need him and to continue dancing,

even for 1 more week means lots of time away.

I dont know. All of their personal stories are difficult to bring into a

dancing competition. Sad all around.
