Re: DOWNTON ABBEY, POSSIBLE SPOILER

I'd like to see a new series with the children of the characters or relatives children in the WWII years. That could be fascinating. And maybe they could have some cameo appearances by this cast!

Like the idea very much, Sooner. But after Downton Abbey is finished.

Has anyone else noticed a subtle hint that Mary and Tom Branson may be developing a stronger friendship? I've noticed several moments between them that I thought could be the beginning of a relationship. He even said to her "If you love me, you'll support me." and She smiled and agreed to his statement. I think they would make a good couple, especially considering that she owns half of the estate and he manages it. Then Sybbie and George would continue to grow up on the estate together.

I agree with Occasional Rain that Margie shouldn't have spoken to Edith the way she did. Her husband works for Edith's family, and they live on property owned by the family. In that time period, they would have shown the utmost respect to their employers. I don't see Marigold remaining in their care for much longer now that they've told Edith to stay away, especially since she is paying them to care for the child.

I can't stand Miss Bunting! She is so rude and too outspoken, and it's time for Tom to break off his friendship with her.

I want to see a relationship grow between Mr. Carson and Mrs. Hughes. They balance each other so well. And I hope they leave Mr. Bates and Anna alone. They've had enough problems. It's time to let them just be happy.

I believe it's more of a brother sister relationship. Tom isn't sophisticated enough for Mary.

Tinkrbl44, just a gently FYI --- the footman's name is Molesly or Molesley, not Mosley. Not that it really matters, just thought you'd like to know.

The British are sometimes hard to understand and when they speak so quickly, it does sound like Mosley.

I didn't know that ... thanks! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

Ditto to almost every opinion already shared above. I still love this show. It's the only new show I'm watching. Everything else is old stuff on Netflix.

Again, I love the show, but lately I do find myself thinking enough already with running certain things into the ground.

That was interesting commentary you shared, dBd. Thanks for the link.

Have you seen 'The Paradise' - the second season was released on Netflix this week.

I love Downton Abbey and hope it continues for a long time. I think it would be interesting to see the Abbey when the Lord and Cora met and what transpired since he married Cora for her money.

Hi, yes, I watched The Paradise, Season 2, on PBS as it aired. I enjoyed it and will probably end up watching it again, now that it's on Netflix. Just to clarify, what I meant above is that what has been holding my interest lately on Netflix is older stuff, but they do have some newer things, too, which is great.

That could make a very interesting prequel. I'd definitely watch.

Julian Fellowes has already announced DA will end with next year's 6th Season, so sad!{#emotions_dlg.sad}

Re: DOWNTON ABBEY, POSSIBLE SPOILER

I saw the Paradise and really enjoyed it, but they said it was too expensive to produce and it has ended!

I am looking forward to Mr. Selfridge coming in March, love that one too!
